I just began watching 'Lost' several months ago. Several intense weeks passed as I watched the first three seasons and had the first four episodes of this season on TIVO. I really don't know how I existed without this show!!!!
Just a quick theory on the 'sickness'. I do believe it's related to the brain melting down. There was a Stephen King short story set in the future about a family getting ready to travel to Mars. The father told his kids a story to prevent them from getting nervous because you had to be put to sleep before you could do the travel, which involved travelling through time. (Juliet drinking the sedative, anyone?) The younger boy holds his breath and fakes sleep when the gas comes and although the trip takes but a split second, the boy wakes up screaming that 'it's longer than you think' and has aged into a miniature old man. That's what I think is happening with people getting sick from coming onto the island.
I know it's not a major theory but it feels good to participate! Keep it coming!
