My English isn't very good, i'm from Catalonia, Spain.
Libby works for Ben. She gave the boat to Desmond, following Ben's orders. Ben wants Desmond on the island. This is the way to find Penny: Penny finds Desmond, Ben finds Penny, Ben kills Penny, Ben takes revenge on Widmore.
In the present (Island) Ben doesn't know who Libby is, but in the future he will recruit her traveling to/communicating with past. This theory has some time-travel problems, but as we imagine Ben can travel through time and space as perhaps the not-so-ageless-but-time-traveler Richard Alpert. Future Ben talks to past Libby.
Libby can be one of the persons in charge to recruit those specific passengers of 815 flight (like Hurley and someone else), and Desmond too.
Other reason that support this theory is the fact that Libby is the only principal character without a centric-flashback or flashforward, making her perfect of being a mole like Ethan.
Ben could convince Libby when her husband died, as he will do with Sayid in 4x09 episode
