Does anyone remember the Podcast were Gregg Nations (Lost Script Coordinator) stated that we've seen the Monster in Season 2 without noticing it? He even got more precise by telling us the Monster appeared after the episode The 23rd Psalm.
This statement has been bugging me a long time now and I'm surprised that no one was getting more into it. So heres my theory: Kate was the Monster for two weeks.
The ep after 23rd Psalm is Hunting Party (Day 51-52). in this ep Kate follows Jack, Sawyer and Locke to the Line, gets caught by the others and later traded back for their weapons. This was when Kate was switched.
The next time we see the real Kate is in A Tale of Two Cities (Day 68). This is when Ben tells her the next two weeks are gonna be rough.
If we consider the beginning of this episode (The Book Club) we see that its not an episode with only realtime and flashback (of the centric character) scenes. This could mean the scene with Kate and Ben (which I always thought was quiet weird) is actually a Flashback to day 51. So the first time real Kate gets back is on day 68 (do the math by the way) when shes thrown into the bear cage next to sawyer.
I know this theory has a lot of faults, like, what did Kate do the two weeks, why send the monster in if it doesn't do anything, does this theory help anyone and not to mention the spelling. The biggest problem I have with this Theory is that it means the others control the Monster.
