My theory is to prove that the comic in the first season gave as a lot of answer that we might have forgotten. my theory also goes in to the use of Collective Consciousness and how it might all be connected. Ok so in the first season we saw the comic book a couple times before Michael tossed it in the fire.OK with the comic book there were 3 pictures that might have told us some secrets of the island that we might have missed.1. the polar bear- A little self explained Walt has collective consciousness he can see things like pictures in a comic book and bring them into reality just like the flashback where he's reading the bird book and the same bird hits the window. This is why the others needed Walt. I think they wanted him to take over Ben's job when he passes away.Ben might have sum sort of powers himself like collective consciousness but I'm going more on Ben having the same power as Desmond with the time travel. Maybe this is why Ben can promise people to get off the island and be such a leader. From what I heard Walt is back in Hawaii so hopefully we will get more on Walt in season 4.
2.fortress with dome on top surrounded by ice- This is a clue about were the island is, most likely somewhere in Antarctica that would explain the 2 guys working for penny playing chess. Penny's dad company is also in on the whole dharma conspiracy. The name of the company is Widmore and is in multiple lost related books like bad twin. So if any body knows were the island is it would be Penny trying to sneak around behind her daddy's plan to find her beloved Desmond. The 2 guys working for Penny look like they might have found a the island actually they look like they where really close to the Island the only thing is that the dome on top is sum sort of magnetic field that makes the island invisible to the naked eye.
3. The alien tied up with wires in his head-this guy represents collective consciousness. This where it gets weird.
Ok so if you want to know about collective consciousness I suggest you google it because it's just way to much science talk for me. I'll try to do my best, it's like having a dream and controlling everything around you but in the real world.
So remember that concrete wall that Jack and Sayid tried to crack open well thats wear I think the collective consciousness people are being held there, now the collective consciousness could be sum sort of experiment but it could also be the man himself Jacob . The biggest tie in is the black smoke. The black smoke is actually tiny little electro magnetic fibers that can take shapes of objects and could also get inside our losties head and mimic significant objects from there flashbacks. I also think that this black smoke is a big reason why the survivors of the crash are alive. I mean come on the show has to much of a sense of reality to have 50 people survive a crash. Take a look at the first episode and freeze frame the opening of Jacks eye if you ask me I see the smoke monster for a glimpse but thats me. I also think our beloved Vincent is actually the smoke monster showing the way of of certain losties. Plus it would make a pretty good twist.
One of the most significant sayings in lost that connects it with collective consciousness is when Claire in season 1 looks through the wreckage looking for a brush or a comb but can't find one she even says I look everywhere and I can't find a single brush. A brush or a comb would break the electro magnetic field on the island and the collective consciousness would not be able to work if people on the island were brushing there hair all the time.
Now let me get back to Jack a little off topic but whatever.
So Jack such a big player in Lost but what if he was a scientist for Dharma what if his father was also a scientist. Dharma has a research facility know for life extension. So what if they took Jack's dad memories from his brain and poured them into some poor souls body creepy huh. They could also have used the collective consciousness to erase jacks memories of being part of Dharma and putting other memories maybe even some dead guy that was a doctor memories. In the pilot we see Jack not on the beach, Kate not on the beach and Sawyer well who knows where he was during the crash. Its just a little sketchie if you ask me and maybe thats why the others wanted those 3 people and Hurley but they let Hurley go because he's not lucky. There are a couple of clues in in first couple of episodes of season 2 that show Jack acting a little funny when the Hatch is blown open. The first clue is when the hatch is blown open Jack is not very excited to go down in the hatch maybe because he was a button pusher in the hatch when he was working with Dharma. Another clue is that Jack knew the final number 42 when no one else did in the beginning of season 2 when they learned about the button again sketchie. And the third clue is when Eko and Locke find the pearl station they see all monitors and there is a glimpse of Jack by himself walking around ALONE maybe just maybe this is when he was working for Dharma and he was a button pusher. A little far fetch but who knows that video could have been years old. Ok thats all for now if you think I'm crazy just tell me so I like the feedback. It all sounds a little crazy but if anybody can make it all make sense the genius writers from lost can. I'll be back later with more theories like the numbers and the four toed statue and other things my twisted head can come up with.
