A phantom car most of us know about has been haunting the Losties past.
Until the character driving this car is revealed, I've come up with a little theory.
The DHARMA experiment that we haven't found out about is Psychology. And from the logo, it seems to be the one Hanso is most interested in.
What if the Hanso foundation's first experiment was to choose a random group of people and monitor them from the time they were born. As mentioned in another theory, most have visited hospitals and the car has stalked a number of them. In Michael's case, it caused him to go to hospital.
The Others on the island are either former or current Dharma employees. If former, perhaps they became obssessed with many they studied and decided to create a situation where the whole group could be monitored in one place. The foundation already owned an island, and from recent discoveries, had abandoned it (Except from the button pushers). The only things they needed to do was get the plane into the vacinity of the island, bring it down and make sure they survive.
If Kelvin was an Other, perhaps he purposely led Desmond along, hoping to abandon him long enough for the button to stop working and bring down the plane. Of course, when we discovered the pearl it became obvious the Swan was monitored. So if the button went too close to chaos, an Other could be ready to push it. On the Kelvin front, if he was an Other, maybe he was ordered to kill whoever currently occupied it to take over there duties...

- Kate's horse and Eko's drug plane. Mysterious coincidences or plants by the obsessed Others? Would it have been hard to speak to the army about the plane and find the wreckage? I'm sure Kate has told people about the horse, possibly in sessions with psychiatrists.
- The monster may have been caused by a leak or an 'incident', what if this was forced? The Others the only ones aware of it's possibilities to scan people's minds.
