Key / Answer to LOST is the #23 by Jeff

Ok...hopefully this will make. Go and watch the movie with Jim Carey "The Number 23" (actor who plays Jacob is in this movie). Everything comes back to the number 23.

Flight # 815 - 8+15 = 23
Numbers: 4 8 15 16 23 42
42+4=46. 46/2 = 23
8+15 = 23
23 (speaks for itself)
16 (this had me puzzled until this week)
16+7=23 (this is based off the theory of numeroligy - theory from Jim Carey movie. Sayid Jarrah totals 7).

Vowels 1 9 1 1 = 12: 1+2 = 3
Consonants 1 7 4 1 99 8 = 31: 3+1 = 4
Add the total of the vowels and the consonants together, you get 7.

Numeroligy says that each letter can only have a single digit number, so say the letter Z is the 26th letter of the alphabet. You must add 2+6=8 and Z now becomes 8. Based on this, the following is the Regular and Numerolgy alphabet:

I have done all the numbers for all the 6 characters, and none can be worked out to 23 (except for Sheppard as he is the #23).

Other factors of 23:
1. Egyptian numerology says 5 (2+3) is the sign of the return of the great initiate or messiah
2. Hebrew mysticism says the 2 is the wisdom of the Most High and the 3 is the understanding
3. Movie "Prophecy" talks about a second war in Heaven as transcribed in an ancient bible in the 23rd chapter of Revelation
4. Earth rotates on a 23 degree angle
5. 2+3=5 - 5 is representative of Kaballah, hebrew study of gematria, the number means severity or judgement. It is associated with the apocalypse.
6. Prime number - 23 is the lowest prime that consists of consecutive prime number digits. Prime numbers have been described as being the building blocks of the world of numbers and therefore also the building blocks of the REALITY that we experience (what about alternate reality?)

Egyptian influence in the show consists of the statue holding an ankh - symbol for eternal life, as well as numerous other instances. So this presence of egyptian influence, supports the #1 item listed above.
