Present day Eloise Hawking was cold to Daniel because she had shot him in 1977 but for her to shoot him faraday would of had to come up with his reset plan. When Faraday got back to the island from Ann Arbor he went over to the hostiles to tell his mother about his jughead plan and to find out where the hostiles had put the bomb. His mother shot and killed him before he could tell her.
In order for present day Eloise to be cold to him he would of had to tell Jack about his plan and visit the hostiles camp. This is my first theory and sorry if I didn't really explain it that well.
