LOST Theories - DarkUFO

John Jacob Locke by Hubris

Here is my theory. I think it might be a bit of a stretch but its not beyond the realm of reason.

First, I think Locke's father is NOT Cooper. Cooper doesn't look like the 80-year-old man that he'd have to be to impregnate Emily Locke way back in the 20s or 30s. Especially if he was "twice her age."

Second, I don't think we ever find out John Locke's middle name in the show so far. Funny and odd. You'd think that the middle name of a character like Locke would be important. I've thought about this for some time and thought maybe his middle name would be "key" or something and he'd be the "key" to the islands mysteries. Don't think so now though. His middle name is ..... JACOB. That's right. Cause Jacob is his daddy.

Also, we don't know Jacob's full name. Jacob has a last name. What is it? Whatever it is, if he is John's daddy, then Locke might be able to switch his name to match his daddy's name. Jacob's last name, I think, is Jingleheimer-Schmidt.

The name refers to a song that can concievably be sung on an infinite loop. The island has been on an infinite time - loop. The writers were obviously going for symbolism here. The story of John Locke and Jacob is one that has been repeating through history for a long time. You just wait and see this is the answer to all of losts mysteries.

The song about John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt has an obscure origin. Just like Jacob. We don't know much about his origin.

Also, the words of the song include "whenever I go out, the people always shout," symbolizing when Locke fell OUT the window and the people standing nearby SHOUTED for help.

In the song "na" is repeated 8 times, which is one of the numbers.

John Locke was an English philosopher. John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt is probably a German name. What's close to Germany geographically? England.

Finally, the last name has the word "jingle" in it. The smoke monster sometimes makes a jingly sound when he approaches, and also Christmas has been featured at least once on LOST.

Tell me what you think.
