LOST Theories - DarkUFO

This is an update of an earlier theory.

When someone turns the FDW (Frozen Donkey Wheel) a duplicate is created. There should be 2 of the same person created, one in the FDW chamber and one in Tunisia. Turning the wheel also moves the island in time. I don’t know how or when the island moves to because we we’ve not seen ALL the implications of turning the wheel. I would like to guess that if Ben went ahead in time…9 months was it?...then the island went back 9 months. There could be some other correlation but I will go with this assumption for now. Maybe you can help me see the answer, because I’m all for us working on solving the Lost puzzle together.

For me to explain the next bit of what I think is going on in Lost let me get you to think about a scene in Back to the Future II when Marty gets back to an alternate 1985. He arrives to an altered timeline to discover that the 1985 where he belongs is radically different. His father is dead, his Mother married to Biff and he himself should be in a boarding school – in Austria, I think but it’s been a while since I watched it and I’m just trying to recall. Now this is the point of the matter – what happens to the Marty who was in the boarding school in that time line? The Marty who arrives back to 1985 really should have “flashed” to his boarding school when he came back to 1985 in the Dalorian. He doesn’t though does he because he’s arrived back on the Dalorian. So does the version of himself in that other timeline just suddenly disappear from his boarding school? Well I think that the Ben who turned the wheel and should be in the FDW chamber actually “fla! shes” to the Ben who is where ever he is 9 months in the past. Conveniently just before the crash of our Losties. That Ben - the one on the island 9 months before turning the FDW - suddenly has “future knowledge” of what has been happening for the last 9 months on the island. This is when he REALLY becomes the TRUE leader of the Others.

This is how leaders are created – by turning the wheel and essentially conscious time travelling into their past selves to influence the past and have a do-over of the timeline. An alternate timeline is created each time the wheel is turned. The war is a flight over the timeline.

Widmore turned the wheel and so did Hawking and they both took their turn in guiding the Others. They have had their “turn” on the island as leaders of the Others guiding them through their creation of a new timeline. In fact all events from series 1-5 may have been very different with Widmore in control or Hawking. Alex may have lived and hence why Ben is so surprised to see her die.

This is why:

• Ben keeps saying that certain things are not supposed to happen like the Losties leaving the island

• Ben goes to get Locke and pretends to be Henry Gale

• Ben was so surprised that Keamy’s men killed Alex.

• Locke has a duplicate.

• Widmore is not allowed to come back to the island.

• Locke sometimes seams to know exactly what he’s doing.

All of Faraday’s research has been trying to recreate the Dharma experiments which make this whole conscious time travel possible. I believe that things were orchestrated to make Des special and give other certain members of our Losties this ability also. We are going to discover that at least Jack, Sawyer and Kate have also had future knowledge throughout series 1-5. I think Des could be uniquely special because certain people don’t know that he has this ability.
