How this will play out by Jim

Sorry if this has been posted I'm new to the site.

Alright so I'm rewatching season 5 and somehow I started thinking about how the explosion of Jughead could result in an alternate timeline sort of like what Desmond experienced when he turned the key (the lighting and sound was similar), except with this one leading the characters to see how everything would turn out had their plane landed safely.

So I started thinking about this whole destiny thing and that we still haven't truly seen these people purpose on the island but I think I have found it

What if when all the lost characters land back at LAX somehow they are all or at least a few of them are responsible for what will ultimately be the end of the world. We've heard about the equation dharma was working on to calculate the end of the world, what if they narrowed down the exact time and place this catastrophe would occur and using their time travel experiments narrowed down these key people that would play a vital part in the destruction of earth. Then they ensured that to stop it their plane had to crash and land on the island (using christian as a sacrifice to ensure thats where theyd end up).

Then after the incident we know the swan's computer was being used to save the world, well what if Desmond pushing the button wasnt what we thought it was. What if him not pushing the button didn't necessarily mean the world would end right then and there but that the world would end on Sept. 22nd 2004 because if he didn't push the button the swan would've turned "the sky purple" too soon and never crashed the plane, therefor it would've landed safely and the world would end.

So therefor their destiny or purpose would be to be on the island and as Desmond always says he was meant for a higher purpose and did save the world.

I believe the characters that will be responsible are all ones that we're pushed or convinced to get on the plane by someone else (eg. Clair with the psychic or Locke with Abbadon) and I also believe that Christian knew he had to die in Australia to ensure they would land where they did, I believe he and his entire blood line will prove vital to the island.
