LOST Theories - DarkUFO

Season 2 episode ? thoughts on MIB by JaySin420

So I just re-watched this episode and I was trying to find any theories on this but I couldn't so I apologize if this has been posted before.

It's the episode where Libby is dying after being shot by Michael and also where Mr. Eko and John Locke go searching for the ? from the blast door map.

While dreaming, Eko sees Yemi who tells him to "Help John Locke" because he lost his way. Very similar to what Ben's daughter Alex said to Ben. (Alex I believe, like many others, at that point was possessed by the MIB)

He also tells Eko to stop whatever he is doing and bring John to the ?. (Again, I think Yemi is obviously possessed by the MIB here)

They end up finding the other hatch which in turn makes John question his beliefs and destroy the computer which lead Desmond to turn the fail safe key which set MIB's plan in motion.

I think MIB has some kind of power over people's dreams on the island very much like it seems he has the power to control and possess a dead body on the island. I actually can't think of any dream we have seen on the island where the MIB was most likely not behind it. Maybe it has to with consciousness or something but I'm not sure and I'd love to hear people's thoughts on that.

Now here's where it gets really cool.

Eko's flashback is about a young girl Charlotte Malkin, the daughter of Claire's psychic from S1. The girl ends up drowning, they say she was in the water dead for 2 hours before being taken to have an autopsy.

During the autopsy she came back to life and the only words she spoke were her screaming, "John!" and then either "Let John Locke go" or "Let John Locke go on".

Below is the transcript.

Later she meets Eko and tells him that she saw his brother Yemi when she was "between places". From the transcript it also seems like she saw Locke while she was between places and he was either in trouble or possibly she saw him being controlled by MIB.

So after she died, she saw Yemi and spoke of John Locke, two people she had no clue of who would both later be seemingly controlled by the MIB. That can't be a coincidence.

Now was she seeing the future? Was she seeing another dimension? I don't know but it made me think of the Jeremy Bentham episode when Walt told Locke about his dream. He said he saw John back on the island and he was in trouble and people all around him wanted to hurt him.

Walt may have been seeing the future, which could be next season when Ilana and crew find out about Jacob's death and go after the MIB/FLocke but it could also be some kind of other dimension or "between place" that they both have a connection to. A place where John Locke is still alive but in a lot of trouble and needs help to get free. Yea I know that's pretty vague but its all I got right now lol.

Now please take it easy on me.
