This will be quick.

I was out of work sick the other day and watched The Neverending Story (it was the only thing on, ok). Atreu has to go thru 2 tests to reach the Southern Oracle. The first test is passing by the 2 Sphinxes (with huge boobs) who will strike you dead if your heart is not true and you are unsure of yourself (like Smokie scanning Eko and Locke). The next test is looking at yourself in the mirror and the mirror will show you your true self (if you think you are brave but you are really a coward you will see that and run the other way, for example). If you can face your true self and move ahead, then you can speak with the Southern Oracle.

This reminded me a lot of what is happening on the Island with not only Locke but all the Losties. Some couldn't even pass the first test, others failed in their second test, and the ones that have made it to the end will find out what is going on and will have to take it from there.

In the end, we find out that their world was failing because society was losing hope (MIB's view), but all it took was 1 small boy and his dreams to make their land a reality again and in the end everyone that died was alive again.

Perhaps if these remaining Losties can pass their final test, the world can be saved and all that have been sacrificed can live on (Jacob's view)

Also, Hurley looks a lot like Falcor the Luck Dragon.

I know, not really a theory, but it's interesting how I see Lost in everything these days, I'm sure you guys can relate.
