LOST Theories - DarkUFO

A lot of this is based on theories I have read, so sorry for repeat information. I am just trying to tie together different theories to form a more cohesive and comprehensive explanation of ALT, Jacob, MIB, and the Island. This is very long, requires you already know a good deal about quantum physics, or are willing to invest time in reading about the topics I bring up that you don't quite have a grasp of. Thanks and enjoy!

We experience time as a dot on a line (with the line being our lifetime), but in actuality it exists in another dimension that we cannot fully perceive. It is referred to as spacetime, or Minkowski space. Remember the communications officer from Kahana, George Minkowski? There is a reason that Darlton named the first person to die of "time sickness" Minkowski. The German scientist Hermann Minkowski took Einstein's theory of relativity and represented it with a four-dimensional model that linked time with space. Thus, spacetime was born.

Living in the third dimension, we can see and manipulate things in space. As I said before, we can only experience the 4th dimension as a dot on the line, which represents the present. Now, in quantum physics, they have conducted experiments that show the existence of parallel universes. That is that every possible outcome of a 50/50 decision exists somewhere, due to neuron switches in your brain that push you in one direction over the other. For more about this, read about quantum suicide. I bet a lot of you have already read about this, but if you haven't it will explain in-depth what I am referring to.

Going back to the 4th dimension, it isn't just a line. Just like space, it is a plane. What this means is that time is actually a ton of lines interconnected. Each of these lines is the result of 50/50 situations randomly going one way or the other due to neuron activity in the human brain. All of these timelines exist, yet we only experience our current reality in the third dimension. The alternative timelines can only be accessed if you travel the fourth dimension.

Now bring time travel into the equation. We can move through the third dimension with ease, but we can't move through the fourth dimension normally. The Island, however, has special properties due to the massive pockets of energy. The Island can move through the fourth dimension. Therefore, people on it move through with the Island. This creates the "time travel" effect, and by that I mean physical time travel (Jack and co flashing through time, then back to 1977). In these cases, the Island acted as a vessel to travel. When Faraday figured out how to time travel, he could only send a person's consciousness. That is because the only vessel to travel in was the person's body. The body anchored them in space, so only the mind could travel through time.

Bringing this all back, all possibilities already exist on a quantum level, and combine to make the fourth dimension. Now what if in the future, humans evolved to form a higher consciousness? If this sounds unfamiliar, read stuff by Carl Jung about Cosmic Consciousness. To sum it up, it is the concept that the universe is one consciousness, made up of and connected to all the other consciousnesses in the universe. Man in his current form lives in the third-dimension and thus experiences self-consciousness. Far into the future, man further evolves and the bond of our consciousnesses grows stronger and stronger until we eventually are one consciousness. The point where all consciousnesses become one is called the Omega Point. It is theorized as the point where life cannot develop any further, aka the End.

Jacob: It can only end once. Anything that happens before that....is just progress.

This right here is the ultimate support of ALT. The end is going to happen no matter what, and the way we get there can change (he calls it progress). Now I will tie everything together. Jacob and MIB are from the future, but they exist in the fourth dimension. That means that while their origin lies in the future, they have also always existed, because they can travel the fourth dimension all the way back to the beginning of time. They are the last two minds in existence, because humanity has evolved towards them. This may sound confusing, but think about it. If human consciousness is evolving towards the Omega point, then there would be less and less people, as our minds would inhabit fewer vessels. Jacob and MIB are the culmination of all of humanity's consciousness. One is light, and one is dark. This is the way we evolved. Just like in quantum suicide, a decision goes one way or the other. Jacob manipulates towards light, and MIB towards dark. The struggle ! is necessary for evolution.

Jacob travels through time and touches the Losties to lead them on the light path. He believes that people are inherently good and everyone just needs the right opportunity. MIB travels through time and judges and kills people who he deems as unworthy, thus eliminating weak links. MIB inherently believes people are evil. Therefore, he wishes to eradicate all humans, thus negating existence in the first place. Jacob and MIB's conflict has infinite routes, again due to quantum physics and its effect on evolution. No matter what, we are being pulled towards the Omega point. What is the Omega point?

The Omega point is the Island. This has been discussed before, but I don't think I saw people relate it to Jacob and MIB. The Island draws all life towards it. It was the beginning of time and it is the end of time. It is where life cannot evolve anymore, and therefore it also is the creator of the entire cycle of life. The Island, in other words, is God. From Wikipedia entry on "Omega point":

Tipler identifies the final singularity of this asymptotically infinite information capacity with God. According to Tipler and David Deutsch, an implication of this theory is that this ultimate cosmic computer will be able to resurrect (via emulation) everyone who has ever lived, by simulating all possible quantum brain states within the master simulation. This will manifest itself as a simulated reality. From the perspective of its simulated inhabitants, the Omega Point is an infinite-duration afterlife, which could take any imaginable form due to its virtual nature.

We already know that MIB can do this. With all this in mind, the endgame of LOST is that everything merges with the Island to complete the Omega point and finish the long cycle of life. This explains why Jacob was reading "Everything that Rises Must Converge".

Jacob knows that to reach the Omega point, he and MIB cannot exist. They and the island make up the final three points before they converge as one. When MIB killed Jacob, there were two points left. Jacob did his part for evolution before he died... he directed the Losties on the path to kill MIB. The candidate that Iliana and Bram are looking for is the person who will kill MIB. Then, with MIB and Jacob gone, the Omega Point is reached.

So what exactly is the endgame? Humanity reset. I believe what will happen is that the result of the war against MIB will result in a small number of survivors... possibly only two, one male and one female. They are the Adam and Eve in the cave. This is how the Island ties into creation stories, specifically The Old Testament. The creation of man was birthed from the complete evolution of man. The Island is the Garden of Eden. The Island is God, the Island is everything. The show was conceived by JJ Abrams and Darlton so that the Island would be like a character. Little did we know that The Island is the main character of existence.

I'm sorry if some of this didn't make sense, seemed like rambling, or I didn't properly connect the dots. After all, it is very late (or early depending on your perspective), and I have been partying for most of the night. Please leave feedback and any question you have I will try my best to answer. Thanks guys.
