There are two things I want to talk about here.
1.Mind traveling. I think we have all been played. Duality as the light motif of this show. Duality but not just within the characters , duality in a scene. Every scene we saw, well not every but lots of them could be interpreted in two different ways. Duality. I will try to prove that they all, the 6 or at least the 3 of them know where they are, when they are, and that they all know each other and the most important thing that they remember. 3 of them (Jack, Kate and Sawyer) are aware of everything, not at first but later yes, every single thing –Flashes Before your eyes, Desmond case. The other 3 (Hurley, Sayid and Jin) remember, but not everything, just parts, beats and pieces, sort of as a deja vu.
2. Mister John Locke being connected to a MIB.
These two statements are very bold but I believe in this and I will do my best to show you my point of view. Sit back and start reading...
A LEADER CAN’T LEAD UNTIL HE KNOWS WHERE HE IS GOING.
Jack is the leader and Jack knows exactly where and when he is going.
JACK KATE SAWYER
Lets go back to the pilot episode, part 1...after the few first scenes with the plane and Jack running around. Who are the 3 characters we first meet? What did they show us? Who?
Close up Jack..then Kate looking confused..then Sawyer...walking back and forth pissed off..
As I mentioned in my previous theory "Season 1", Jack, Kate and Sawyer are the 3 people who were in the epicenter of whatever happened on the Swan site the fatal day. And their minds switched back to their past bodies on the day of the crash. But the memories remained.
Lets go through some particular scenes. Random scenes. Lets look at their other side.
SCENE 1
Kate and Charlie
Walking towards cockpit Kate looks at Charlie...
Kate: Have we ever met?
Charlie: You know me from somewhere but you cannot place me?
Kate: No, I can’t.
Then Charlie explain everything regarding Drive Shaft. But, I don’t think so. This scene looked so much to the scene yet again with Charlie and Desmond...Flashes before your eyes.
Desmond: Where do I know you from?
Then he remembered Charlie from the Hatch. And the memories kept on coming.
So Kate remembers him from somewhere. And yes it could be that she knows him from Drive Shaft but it could also be that she remembers him from the previous loop, previous life on the island she had. Like Des knew him from the hatch even thou Charlie is yet to come to that point of his life.
Two of them are singing and laughing..no worries..they are walking towards the cockpit and just chating. Jack comes back and Kate asks him if he knows Drive Shaft. Charlie even starts singing but Jack is not interested. He needs to focus. He doesn’t care about the Drive Shaft. He doesn’t want to chat. He wants to move because he knows there is no time for random silly conversations. And Vincent is watching them (I will talk about that later). Jack is acting irrational. Or he knows this by heart and just wants to get it over with. You know where I stand on this one.
SCENE 2
The weather starts to change while they were walking toward the cockpit .. Charlie noticed this rapid weather change. He even made a comment regarding the weather.
Charlie: Guys is this normal? Day turning into night type of weather..
But none of them, Kate or Jack, reacted to this question. Hell they didn’t react to Charlie or this sudden change of weather . Again irrational behavior. If you have no idea whats causing this or if you are not used to it then you would say something..anything. But no, they kept on going.
It always drove me nuts..their lack of communication. None noticing anything..not sharing certain weird things going on around with anyone from the group. As if they don’t care or they have already been through all of this so there is no need in making such comments. I seriously doubt they don’t care. I mean there are two possibilities here to. Again Duality.
1.They think they are hallucinating. They are afraid to share these things with the group just because there is a chance that group will find you crazy. Silence.
2.They all know what is going on since they have already been through this and they simply cannot talk about this anymore.
I vote 2!
And season 6 will start like Expose in the matter of story telling. We will see some scenes again but this time with Jack telling Kate to watch over Sawyer and see how he is doing since he just lost Juliet (This will just be addition to certain scenes, follow up. For example in the distance we will see Sayid and Sawyer jumping on Michael and Jin trying to break them apart and Sun and Walt screaming. Something like that.)
Something like Jack crying the first time he talked to Locke about his role as a leader. Looking at Locke who died trying to help them. Kate saying to Charlie that he is not a coward after they saw dead pilot. She wasn’t trying to make him feel better she was telling the truth because she knows that Charlie is anything but coward. Boy who can’t swim swam down to the looking glass to switch of the jamming signal in order to get the rescue. She was looking at Charlie who died trying to help them.
SCENE 3
Back to the beach after the first night when Smoke monster was first seen and heard.
Rose: Something about that sound was familiar.
Desmond heard the microwave in his flat. The sound was familiar. Then he heard the numbers 815. It sounded familiar. He remembered the numbers he typed in the computer in order to save the world. It sounded familiar. Again Flashes before your eyes.
Rose it sounded familiar because you have already heard the Smoke Monster before. The sound you heard the night before was the sound of smoke monster Rose. Deja vu.
So Smoke Monster sounded like Smoke Monster. Or it could be the cab from Bronx. Again duality.
Kate: You don’t seem afraid at all.
Kate was not upset at all for Charlie with Smoke but was afraid for Sawyer with polar bear. When they were being chased by Smoke she was running like the devil’s chasing her. She didn’t care that Charlie was trapped..she just kept on running. Later on she yelled for Jack. Not Charlie but Jack. JAAAACK!
BUT while they were being chased by polar bear she stopped and even went back for Sawyer yelling SAWYEEER!
Why worry for two random guys you just met? Yes they look good..but hell, why? Because she knows them lot longer. And she loves them. She cares. She knows that Sawyer is going crazy. She knows that now he is capable of lets say anything because he is sick and tired or reliving his life over and over again. Loosing Juliet over and over. Like he said: TIME TRAVEL IS A BITCH!
Sawyer: Fine I am a criminal. You are the terrorist. We can all play a part, who you wanna be?
And they are playing a part. It hit me while watching Namaste. Looking at them it suddenly everything was clear. I asked myself what if I show this to one of my friends who has never seen Lost. Who has no idea of the plot. What would he think, I asked myself. And then I realized. Reality depends on the viewer. And I am saying this for quite some time now.
My friend would think that these people, this Jack, this Kate, Hurley..this people are some new addition to the show. Jack is a janitor and Hurley works around the food. Kate is a mechanic. He would have no idea that this Jack is a doctor and Hurley has 105 millions of dollars. That Kate killed her step dad. And the main thing that they are from the future and they know Jim la Fleur, his girlfriend Juliet who is also a doctor. Miles who is born just few months ago. He would have no idea that they all know each other and just playing the part for OTHERS. Other people in their little community. For Dharma Initiative.
We had to start somewhere, like them. We started at the end or the beginning of the loop. We started with the plane crash. But we could started with the 77. And seeing Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Jin, Sayid and Hurley on the plane after Juliet hit the bomb would be a WTF moment!
We would be confused seeing all of them in a plane, crashing in 2004, not knowing one another, finding the swan built. Seeing Change talking about the button. Listening to Desmonds story about Radzinski. Thinking why the hell would Radzinski drew a map of the hatches with lots of question marks all over the drawing since we already know he was a brain behind the whole Hatch thing.
Just imagine. Or do the experiment with someone you know, who has no idea who these characters are. And ask that person for an opinion. I am telling you people we are fulled. It is brilliant! Magic trick. I mean why would I care why Jack and Kate don’t notice the sudden change in weather when there is some monster knocking down the trees. When none came to look for them. Why would I care that Rose founds the sound of monster familiar when there is a man who was in a wheelchair and now is able to walk after he survived the plane crash??? And the polar bear is living in a tropical climate! We were distracted. Every single time ..distracted from the big picture. That-s the way the magician operate. And the key for a success of a trick is keeping the illusion going. They did an excellent job!
Sayid: Its a loop. It’s been playing over and over.
They are in the loop. All of them. Looping over and over again. And the 6 of them remembers.
Flashbacks always appear when they are remembering something.
Sawyer: If someone came why is it still playing?
Excellent question. Why is it still playing? The distress call was switched off. The cassette was out. But 3 years later the distress call is still playing. I know that at the time it meant that the call would be switched off if the french woman was rescued. Meaning she was still on the island somewhere, dead or alive. And lets be honest it really did happen once the rescue came but the distress call could be heard in 2007/2008 when Aijira landed on the island. So Sawyer bravo! Good point. I wonder how many times it stopped playing? How many times charlie swam down the hole...
Charlie: Guys, where are we?
That was the single normal question regarding their weird situation. The only question that has been asked by someone from the group for this entire time they were stranded on the island. Well not the only one but definitely one of five through the entire 5 seasons we saw.
SCENE 4 I guess
Kate: Who says this is my first boar hunting?
Jack: Aha...tell me something, how come any time there's a hike in the heart of darkness you sign up? You know whats in there...
Kate: Actually I don’t and neither do you.
......
Kate: If I didn't know any better i would say you are worried about me Jack.
Jack: If I didn't know any better I would say you have problem staying in one place Kate. So will you tell me why you are going?
Is this the conversation between strangers? Why would she tell him „Actually I don’t and neither do you“. I mean what a hell is this suppose to mean? That they both know but need to keep it low and she is just reminding him on that? Could be...This was day 4...
SCENE 5
Kate: I wanna tell you what I did, why he was after me.
Jack: I don’t wanna know. It doesn’t matter what we were before this, what we did, before the crash, doesn’t really.......3 days ago we all died. We should all be able to start over. OK?
Kate: OK.
(btw this was the episode TABULA RASA which is Latin for blank board. Erasing something or resetting. Going back to the beginning etc...The first title we ever heard was this title. Cool)
So lets go back to Richard, my favorite Other. I trusted him. He was the only Other I trusted. Like someone said in some post he should get a medal for the purge after we saw what kind of people DI were. :)
And there is no way that Richard, the ageless man who lived on the island for many many years and who saw a lot of weird things could be mistaken their death with their disappearance. If they vanished in front of his bloody eyes he would think they vanished, not died. Since he saw them for years in random crazy situations and they were always looking the same as if they were ageless too. So if Richard says he watched them all die I can think of two reason for this statement. Again 2.
1.He really watched them all die. And they are all dead. „The Incident“ is the end of Lost.
2.He needs to lie. Because Sun (and nobody else) cannot know the truth. Not yet. Reason? Everything needs to play out in the right order. Why? Who is telling this to Richard? 815ers. They all survived the „white light“..they looked confused..they were running around naked hahaha..or they were mute, deaf...for a short period of time or whatever..BUT they survived. And they stayed in the 70s. In 2004 they are all together, Jack, Kate, Jin, Hurley, Sawyer, Sayid and perhaps even Juliet. They are old now. In their 60s. Telling Richard and Ben what to do. We don’t have MAN behind the curtain. We have MEN behind the curtain. Go back and watch „Follow the leader„ again..Scene when Sun asks Ben who Richard is. Look behind them...Look..look at the woman in green..with a long blond hair. Look at the way she stands. She looks like old Juliet. And I think that would be awesome. I think it would be awesome that they exist as old and young versions of themselves. And Ben simpl! y cannot let them leave the island because they have to stay and find the exit. Set them all free.
We had lists. Some lists were called Jacobs list and some who knows...Tom said that Jack was not on the list so why would Ben give Michael list of 4 names? Why does names? Because someone apart from Jacob was making another list..The list that ended up in Michaels hands.
Sometimes I even think that Christian Shepard on the island is in fact OLD Jack guiding himself. (I know how silly this sounds, I said sometimes...:)) Because lets not forget what Richard said. He said he never saw a dead man rise from dead. We are still not sure how MIB operates and if Christian is one of the many forms of MIB why would he need his body and not Lockes?? Why would he risk of being busted and why would he leave Lockes dead body in the cargo for Illana to find it. It just doesn’t make sense. Any ideas?
Someone wrote a recent theory about the files Juliet read on all of them. And that the files were the reason why she gave up Sawyer so easy. I agree.
I also wonder why she told Sayid that if he knew who she was he would kill her? I wonder why Mikhail told Sayid that one day his guard will be low and then...I guess he remembers killing Sayid or Sayid being shot in the stomach perhaps. Was Mikhail already a member of DI when Roger shot Sayid or will there be a fight between two soldiers and the result would be Mikhails patch? When he was talking to the 3 of them, Kate, Sayid and Locke...To Kate and Sayid he was talking in present as if he knows them already but when he talks to Locke he uses past tense..he says something like having fading memory of Locke..and that he is confused because John Locke he knows....I think he never met Locke before. He only saw Lockes file. And wanted to say he remembers Locke being in the wheelchair. Or perhaps he saw him in the 50s (if he was a part of the Others and was a teenage boy, but that's a wild guess) then later saw his file...saw he was paralyzed and now able to walk again. I wo! uld be confused too if I saw all that..hahaha
SCENE 6
Charlie and Hurley asking Jack to make a decision as their leader. Jack seems pretty annoyed. He is pissed and he doesn’t want to make decisions. He doesn’t want to be a leader. He fights so hard yet every time he is the one deciding. Could it be that Jack is so afraid that he will fail again? That he is tired of making the wrong decisions such as opening the hatch, following Michael into the jungle, calling the freighter, leaving the island, coming back to the island, refusing to help little Ben believing things will change, taking Daniel to the others, detonating the hydrogen bomb...He is so afraid that every decision he makes is another step into the loop...extending time on the island..making everything worse. Could this be the main reason he is so pissed at two great guys, Charlie and Hurley.
Every time there is a flashback I think the character is remembering certain details from their future past. Just re watch Jacks flashbacks and scenes prior to the flashbacks.
So after all these seasons many characters have died. So who is left? Who is alive and in the 70s?
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid, Hurley, Rose, Bernard.
Rose and Bernard are retired. They don’t want to fight someone elses war anymore. They just want to be together. So we are left with the main characters.
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid and Hurley.
Or let me just say: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42.

PEOPLE a.k.a. VARIABLE
I am thinking they are the course correction. Course Correction for something they've done wrong in the first iteration of the loop. They made a mistake and the harder they try to get out the deeper the fall...I think they are the numbers in the equation. I think they are the combination for saving the world. Why them? Who knows...And I honestly don't care. I mean George Lucas never explained the meaning of the force and why Han Solo was the one helping Luke. It's just is.
Now let's talk about my favorite lostie. Mister John Locke.
Danielle said: Watch them closely.
She meant people Sayid is with. At some point they will change after they meet Smoke Monster. But how can you watch someone closely and noticed anything if you don’t have anything to begin with. What I am trying to say is that Sayid has no idea what is Locke like. Was he in the army. Was he able to walk. Who is he. Is he angry man or joyful. Sayid has no idea so how could he notice any change? For Daniel it was easy. She lived with her husband. She was pregnant with his child. She would notice the change. None of the 815ers would be able to. And when you have over 40 strangers around you it is hard to keep the track.
Who were they suppose to watch? I have only one name for you: John Locke.
Since the episode Walkabout Locke became another man. The one he always wanted to be. And the island gave him that chance or let me rephrase this. Smoke monster gave him that change.
We saw what happens to people after their encounter with Smoke Monster if they survive it. They change. They get "infected". We saw Robert before and after and it was not the same man.
Locke is the only survivor who met Smoke and got away. After Kate saw Smoke heading in Lockes direction she came back to the beach and said to Jack: WE LOST LOCKE. Very strange choice of words. She didn't say that Locke is dead. Locke was lost, gone. And that was true. The real Locke, the sad Locke wannabe Rambo was gone. The new Locke was born. Was this new Locke Flocke? Or was this a third Locke of many Lockes to come? I have no idea. But I do find some things strange. And I can draw a parallel between some events from season one to some from season five.
Right after the sad news John saw Christian in the woods again. He went toward the tree line to get his white rabbit. Instead he found bloody Locke with a boar on his back. Lets not forget how Locke was vanishing before Smoke would come and appearing right after Smoke was gone in episode "Dead is Dead". Well this is the same story. Jack saw Christian. Tried to catch him but instead of Christian he found Locke. And we all think that Christian has everything to do with Smoke and MIB. In fact I think it is all the same person. Hell entity.
He also lied when they asked him if he saw the thing.
Later on (in next episode WHITE RABBIT) he said that he looked in the eye of the island and what he saw was beautiful. It could mean he looked in the real eye of MIB who is an island itself. I mean Jacob and MIB represent island..or he just saw the images within the smoke and saw his life and potential. Who knows. But this episode contains some strange conversations and not just that.
Remember Jack chasing his father through the forest. Christian was leading him in a trap. Jack fell of a cliff. And then Locke magically appeared again once Christian was gone. Let's not forget what he said to kate and Sayid right before he left to look for Jack.
He said: I will go. The group needs you two here. And I know where to look.
Really? How?
He found Jack and told him that everything on this island happens for a reason. He also told him that the man he was chasing is probably real because this island is not the ordinary island. And they all can feel that but the others are afraid to talk about it. He also told Jack that he needs to lead.
This was their first of many conversations regarding the island and Jacks leadership and what he is suppose to do and what not.
This Locke was the fearless Locke we all love. The hunter. But that is not the Locke we saw off the island. That Locke was sad, frustrated, angry little man. That was always the real Locke. A kid Locke, a teen Locke, grown up Locke..always the same until he crashed on the island. Until he met Smoke.
There is something strange about his look. Every time we would see his eyes and that cold look. Weird smile. This Locke was planning something.
Now try to remember as many situations as you v=can remember and tell me if I am wrong...But this new Locke was not himself all the time. From time to time he would turn into that sad pathetic guy all over again. I am thinking that he wasn't always MIB. Just from time to time.
Remember when he said YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH IN ORDER TO GET HERE.
What? He found Lockes dead body. He became Locke. Spent some time with Ben, met Sun, got back to pick Richard, took him to the plane, got back to the camp, asked Ben to join him in the foot, watched Jacob die. What is he talking about. He sounded pretty frustrated...I think he was Locke all along. I think he was shifting from one form to another manipulating people and events in order to make his plan work.
Do you remember episode HOMECOMING? It was the episode when Charlie killed Ethan. Claire was just back from the Others with no memories at all. No idea who these people are..Now, do you remember conversation between Locke and Boone. Boone asked him where Claire was. Locke said something like: I have no idea. You were right beside me when we found her. Then Boone asked" But where could she be? There is nothing out there.
Just watch Locke. Watch the way he smiles at Boone...thinking..how clueless is this boy...you have no idea what is out there...wahahaha
Hurley: "Who is this guy?"
Excellent question Hurley. Who is he? Is he John Locke or is he John Locke? Or is he MIB? Really who is this guy?
Once again while the 3 of them (Jack, Kate and Charlie) were walking towards the cockpit we could see Vincent watching them from the bushes. At the time, the scene was odd..but now it is even worse since I saw the mobisode SO IT BEGINS where we could see Christian telling the dog to go and wake his son Jack who has work to do. Christian who can speak for Jacob but is in fact MIB (I believe so). Vincent whose picture was found in Jacobs cabin when Illana stepped in. The same cabin that was built by someone years ago and was used as a prison for someone else we are not sure who yet. My guess is that the cabin was built by Bernard in the 70s for their retirement(episode Incident) and as a getaway from DI, just like Horace told Locke A GETAWAY FOR HIM AND MISSES. But him could easily be someone else since Horace told Locke that the purge happened 12 years ago. It was a dream and the Horace in the dream was looping. So it cannot be taken literary. It is all a metaphor. The dreams! especially. So back to Vincent, who was at the time „working“ for MIB (Christian), watching over Jack and Kate..the next scene is a close up of Locke sitting on the beach. A second. Next scene back to Jack and Kate. Now we know that Locke is used by MIB to get to Jacob. Pretty neat no?
Yes he has dreams...yes he survived the plane crash..yes he is able to walk again..yes he has communion with this island..and the only reason why is because he is the opportunity for MIB to strikes back. He is guiding Locke. Like we saw in season 5..Flocke has his old memories, each and every single one but he also has the full knowledge of things. The only thing he doesn't know is where Jacob is. He never knew this. I know that our Locke was not always in control. He was loosing it for time to time. He would cry, bang on the hatch door yelling he did everything that was ask..talking to the island as if it was a human being..Because sometimes something has to happen first. And sometimes MIB was just not around.
On the side..most of the conversation we heard between Jack and John were similar to the one between Jacob and MIB. One is light and the other one is dark.

Desmond heard the microwave in his flat. The sound was familiar. Then he heard the numbers 815. It sounded familiar. He remembered the numbers he typed in the computer in order to save the world. It sounded familiar. Again Flashes before your eyes.
Rose it sounded familiar because you have already heard the Smoke Monster before. The sound you heard the night before was the sound of smoke monster Rose. Deja vu.
So Smoke Monster sounded like Smoke Monster. Or it could be the cab from Bronx. Again duality.
Kate: You don’t seem afraid at all.
Kate was not upset at all for Charlie with Smoke but was afraid for Sawyer with polar bear. When they were being chased by Smoke she was running like the devil’s chasing her. She didn’t care that Charlie was trapped..she just kept on running. Later on she yelled for Jack. Not Charlie but Jack. JAAAACK!
BUT while they were being chased by polar bear she stopped and even went back for Sawyer yelling SAWYEEER!
Why worry for two random guys you just met? Yes they look good..but hell, why? Because she knows them lot longer. And she loves them. She cares. She knows that Sawyer is going crazy. She knows that now he is capable of lets say anything because he is sick and tired or reliving his life over and over again. Loosing Juliet over and over. Like he said: TIME TRAVEL IS A BITCH!
Sawyer: Fine I am a criminal. You are the terrorist. We can all play a part, who you wanna be?
And they are playing a part. It hit me while watching Namaste. Looking at them it suddenly everything was clear. I asked myself what if I show this to one of my friends who has never seen Lost. Who has no idea of the plot. What would he think, I asked myself. And then I realized. Reality depends on the viewer. And I am saying this for quite some time now.
My friend would think that these people, this Jack, this Kate, Hurley..this people are some new addition to the show. Jack is a janitor and Hurley works around the food. Kate is a mechanic. He would have no idea that this Jack is a doctor and Hurley has 105 millions of dollars. That Kate killed her step dad. And the main thing that they are from the future and they know Jim la Fleur, his girlfriend Juliet who is also a doctor. Miles who is born just few months ago. He would have no idea that they all know each other and just playing the part for OTHERS. Other people in their little community. For Dharma Initiative.
We had to start somewhere, like them. We started at the end or the beginning of the loop. We started with the plane crash. But we could started with the 77. And seeing Jack, Sawyer, Kate, Jin, Sayid and Hurley on the plane after Juliet hit the bomb would be a WTF moment!
We would be confused seeing all of them in a plane, crashing in 2004, not knowing one another, finding the swan built. Seeing Change talking about the button. Listening to Desmonds story about Radzinski. Thinking why the hell would Radzinski drew a map of the hatches with lots of question marks all over the drawing since we already know he was a brain behind the whole Hatch thing.
Just imagine. Or do the experiment with someone you know, who has no idea who these characters are. And ask that person for an opinion. I am telling you people we are fulled. It is brilliant! Magic trick. I mean why would I care why Jack and Kate don’t notice the sudden change in weather when there is some monster knocking down the trees. When none came to look for them. Why would I care that Rose founds the sound of monster familiar when there is a man who was in a wheelchair and now is able to walk after he survived the plane crash??? And the polar bear is living in a tropical climate! We were distracted. Every single time ..distracted from the big picture. That-s the way the magician operate. And the key for a success of a trick is keeping the illusion going. They did an excellent job!
Sayid: Its a loop. It’s been playing over and over.
They are in the loop. All of them. Looping over and over again. And the 6 of them remembers.
Flashbacks always appear when they are remembering something.
Sawyer: If someone came why is it still playing?
Excellent question. Why is it still playing? The distress call was switched off. The cassette was out. But 3 years later the distress call is still playing. I know that at the time it meant that the call would be switched off if the french woman was rescued. Meaning she was still on the island somewhere, dead or alive. And lets be honest it really did happen once the rescue came but the distress call could be heard in 2007/2008 when Aijira landed on the island. So Sawyer bravo! Good point. I wonder how many times it stopped playing? How many times charlie swam down the hole...
Charlie: Guys, where are we?
That was the single normal question regarding their weird situation. The only question that has been asked by someone from the group for this entire time they were stranded on the island. Well not the only one but definitely one of five through the entire 5 seasons we saw.
SCENE 4 I guess
Kate: Who says this is my first boar hunting?
Jack: Aha...tell me something, how come any time there's a hike in the heart of darkness you sign up? You know whats in there...
Kate: Actually I don’t and neither do you.
......
Kate: If I didn't know any better i would say you are worried about me Jack.
Jack: If I didn't know any better I would say you have problem staying in one place Kate. So will you tell me why you are going?
Is this the conversation between strangers? Why would she tell him „Actually I don’t and neither do you“. I mean what a hell is this suppose to mean? That they both know but need to keep it low and she is just reminding him on that? Could be...This was day 4...
SCENE 5
Kate: I wanna tell you what I did, why he was after me.
Jack: I don’t wanna know. It doesn’t matter what we were before this, what we did, before the crash, doesn’t really.......3 days ago we all died. We should all be able to start over. OK?
Kate: OK.
(btw this was the episode TABULA RASA which is Latin for blank board. Erasing something or resetting. Going back to the beginning etc...The first title we ever heard was this title. Cool)
So lets go back to Richard, my favorite Other. I trusted him. He was the only Other I trusted. Like someone said in some post he should get a medal for the purge after we saw what kind of people DI were. :)
And there is no way that Richard, the ageless man who lived on the island for many many years and who saw a lot of weird things could be mistaken their death with their disappearance. If they vanished in front of his bloody eyes he would think they vanished, not died. Since he saw them for years in random crazy situations and they were always looking the same as if they were ageless too. So if Richard says he watched them all die I can think of two reason for this statement. Again 2.
1.He really watched them all die. And they are all dead. „The Incident“ is the end of Lost.
2.He needs to lie. Because Sun (and nobody else) cannot know the truth. Not yet. Reason? Everything needs to play out in the right order. Why? Who is telling this to Richard? 815ers. They all survived the „white light“..they looked confused..they were running around naked hahaha..or they were mute, deaf...for a short period of time or whatever..BUT they survived. And they stayed in the 70s. In 2004 they are all together, Jack, Kate, Jin, Hurley, Sawyer, Sayid and perhaps even Juliet. They are old now. In their 60s. Telling Richard and Ben what to do. We don’t have MAN behind the curtain. We have MEN behind the curtain. Go back and watch „Follow the leader„ again..Scene when Sun asks Ben who Richard is. Look behind them...Look..look at the woman in green..with a long blond hair. Look at the way she stands. She looks like old Juliet. And I think that would be awesome. I think it would be awesome that they exist as old and young versions of themselves. And Ben simpl! y cannot let them leave the island because they have to stay and find the exit. Set them all free.
We had lists. Some lists were called Jacobs list and some who knows...Tom said that Jack was not on the list so why would Ben give Michael list of 4 names? Why does names? Because someone apart from Jacob was making another list..The list that ended up in Michaels hands.
Sometimes I even think that Christian Shepard on the island is in fact OLD Jack guiding himself. (I know how silly this sounds, I said sometimes...:)) Because lets not forget what Richard said. He said he never saw a dead man rise from dead. We are still not sure how MIB operates and if Christian is one of the many forms of MIB why would he need his body and not Lockes?? Why would he risk of being busted and why would he leave Lockes dead body in the cargo for Illana to find it. It just doesn’t make sense. Any ideas?
Someone wrote a recent theory about the files Juliet read on all of them. And that the files were the reason why she gave up Sawyer so easy. I agree.
I also wonder why she told Sayid that if he knew who she was he would kill her? I wonder why Mikhail told Sayid that one day his guard will be low and then...I guess he remembers killing Sayid or Sayid being shot in the stomach perhaps. Was Mikhail already a member of DI when Roger shot Sayid or will there be a fight between two soldiers and the result would be Mikhails patch? When he was talking to the 3 of them, Kate, Sayid and Locke...To Kate and Sayid he was talking in present as if he knows them already but when he talks to Locke he uses past tense..he says something like having fading memory of Locke..and that he is confused because John Locke he knows....I think he never met Locke before. He only saw Lockes file. And wanted to say he remembers Locke being in the wheelchair. Or perhaps he saw him in the 50s (if he was a part of the Others and was a teenage boy, but that's a wild guess) then later saw his file...saw he was paralyzed and now able to walk again. I wo! uld be confused too if I saw all that..hahaha
SCENE 6
Charlie and Hurley asking Jack to make a decision as their leader. Jack seems pretty annoyed. He is pissed and he doesn’t want to make decisions. He doesn’t want to be a leader. He fights so hard yet every time he is the one deciding. Could it be that Jack is so afraid that he will fail again? That he is tired of making the wrong decisions such as opening the hatch, following Michael into the jungle, calling the freighter, leaving the island, coming back to the island, refusing to help little Ben believing things will change, taking Daniel to the others, detonating the hydrogen bomb...He is so afraid that every decision he makes is another step into the loop...extending time on the island..making everything worse. Could this be the main reason he is so pissed at two great guys, Charlie and Hurley.
Every time there is a flashback I think the character is remembering certain details from their future past. Just re watch Jacks flashbacks and scenes prior to the flashbacks.
So after all these seasons many characters have died. So who is left? Who is alive and in the 70s?
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid, Hurley, Rose, Bernard.
Rose and Bernard are retired. They don’t want to fight someone elses war anymore. They just want to be together. So we are left with the main characters.
Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Jin, Sayid and Hurley.

PEOPLE a.k.a. VARIABLE
I am thinking they are the course correction. Course Correction for something they've done wrong in the first iteration of the loop. They made a mistake and the harder they try to get out the deeper the fall...I think they are the numbers in the equation. I think they are the combination for saving the world. Why them? Who knows...And I honestly don't care. I mean George Lucas never explained the meaning of the force and why Han Solo was the one helping Luke. It's just is.
Now let's talk about my favorite lostie. Mister John Locke.
Danielle said: Watch them closely.
She meant people Sayid is with. At some point they will change after they meet Smoke Monster. But how can you watch someone closely and noticed anything if you don’t have anything to begin with. What I am trying to say is that Sayid has no idea what is Locke like. Was he in the army. Was he able to walk. Who is he. Is he angry man or joyful. Sayid has no idea so how could he notice any change? For Daniel it was easy. She lived with her husband. She was pregnant with his child. She would notice the change. None of the 815ers would be able to. And when you have over 40 strangers around you it is hard to keep the track.
Who were they suppose to watch? I have only one name for you: John Locke.
Since the episode Walkabout Locke became another man. The one he always wanted to be. And the island gave him that chance or let me rephrase this. Smoke monster gave him that change.
We saw what happens to people after their encounter with Smoke Monster if they survive it. They change. They get "infected". We saw Robert before and after and it was not the same man.
Locke is the only survivor who met Smoke and got away. After Kate saw Smoke heading in Lockes direction she came back to the beach and said to Jack: WE LOST LOCKE. Very strange choice of words. She didn't say that Locke is dead. Locke was lost, gone. And that was true. The real Locke, the sad Locke wannabe Rambo was gone. The new Locke was born. Was this new Locke Flocke? Or was this a third Locke of many Lockes to come? I have no idea. But I do find some things strange. And I can draw a parallel between some events from season one to some from season five.
Right after the sad news John saw Christian in the woods again. He went toward the tree line to get his white rabbit. Instead he found bloody Locke with a boar on his back. Lets not forget how Locke was vanishing before Smoke would come and appearing right after Smoke was gone in episode "Dead is Dead". Well this is the same story. Jack saw Christian. Tried to catch him but instead of Christian he found Locke. And we all think that Christian has everything to do with Smoke and MIB. In fact I think it is all the same person. Hell entity.
He also lied when they asked him if he saw the thing.
Later on (in next episode WHITE RABBIT) he said that he looked in the eye of the island and what he saw was beautiful. It could mean he looked in the real eye of MIB who is an island itself. I mean Jacob and MIB represent island..or he just saw the images within the smoke and saw his life and potential. Who knows. But this episode contains some strange conversations and not just that.
Remember Jack chasing his father through the forest. Christian was leading him in a trap. Jack fell of a cliff. And then Locke magically appeared again once Christian was gone. Let's not forget what he said to kate and Sayid right before he left to look for Jack.
He said: I will go. The group needs you two here. And I know where to look.
Really? How?
He found Jack and told him that everything on this island happens for a reason. He also told him that the man he was chasing is probably real because this island is not the ordinary island. And they all can feel that but the others are afraid to talk about it. He also told Jack that he needs to lead.
This was their first of many conversations regarding the island and Jacks leadership and what he is suppose to do and what not.
This Locke was the fearless Locke we all love. The hunter. But that is not the Locke we saw off the island. That Locke was sad, frustrated, angry little man. That was always the real Locke. A kid Locke, a teen Locke, grown up Locke..always the same until he crashed on the island. Until he met Smoke.
There is something strange about his look. Every time we would see his eyes and that cold look. Weird smile. This Locke was planning something.
Now try to remember as many situations as you v=can remember and tell me if I am wrong...But this new Locke was not himself all the time. From time to time he would turn into that sad pathetic guy all over again. I am thinking that he wasn't always MIB. Just from time to time.
Remember when he said YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH IN ORDER TO GET HERE.
What? He found Lockes dead body. He became Locke. Spent some time with Ben, met Sun, got back to pick Richard, took him to the plane, got back to the camp, asked Ben to join him in the foot, watched Jacob die. What is he talking about. He sounded pretty frustrated...I think he was Locke all along. I think he was shifting from one form to another manipulating people and events in order to make his plan work.
Do you remember episode HOMECOMING? It was the episode when Charlie killed Ethan. Claire was just back from the Others with no memories at all. No idea who these people are..Now, do you remember conversation between Locke and Boone. Boone asked him where Claire was. Locke said something like: I have no idea. You were right beside me when we found her. Then Boone asked" But where could she be? There is nothing out there.
Just watch Locke. Watch the way he smiles at Boone...thinking..how clueless is this boy...you have no idea what is out there...wahahaha
Hurley: "Who is this guy?"
Excellent question Hurley. Who is he? Is he John Locke or is he John Locke? Or is he MIB? Really who is this guy?
Once again while the 3 of them (Jack, Kate and Charlie) were walking towards the cockpit we could see Vincent watching them from the bushes. At the time, the scene was odd..but now it is even worse since I saw the mobisode SO IT BEGINS where we could see Christian telling the dog to go and wake his son Jack who has work to do. Christian who can speak for Jacob but is in fact MIB (I believe so). Vincent whose picture was found in Jacobs cabin when Illana stepped in. The same cabin that was built by someone years ago and was used as a prison for someone else we are not sure who yet. My guess is that the cabin was built by Bernard in the 70s for their retirement(episode Incident) and as a getaway from DI, just like Horace told Locke A GETAWAY FOR HIM AND MISSES. But him could easily be someone else since Horace told Locke that the purge happened 12 years ago. It was a dream and the Horace in the dream was looping. So it cannot be taken literary. It is all a metaphor. The dreams! especially. So back to Vincent, who was at the time „working“ for MIB (Christian), watching over Jack and Kate..the next scene is a close up of Locke sitting on the beach. A second. Next scene back to Jack and Kate. Now we know that Locke is used by MIB to get to Jacob. Pretty neat no?
Yes he has dreams...yes he survived the plane crash..yes he is able to walk again..yes he has communion with this island..and the only reason why is because he is the opportunity for MIB to strikes back. He is guiding Locke. Like we saw in season 5..Flocke has his old memories, each and every single one but he also has the full knowledge of things. The only thing he doesn't know is where Jacob is. He never knew this. I know that our Locke was not always in control. He was loosing it for time to time. He would cry, bang on the hatch door yelling he did everything that was ask..talking to the island as if it was a human being..Because sometimes something has to happen first. And sometimes MIB was just not around.
On the side..most of the conversation we heard between Jack and John were similar to the one between Jacob and MIB. One is light and the other one is dark.
Clash of head..and different points of view..different ways..
