Back again,
When Ben and "UnLocke" were on the beach in the season 5 finale, talking about when Ben brought Locke to the cabin, Locke asked why Ben would go through all the trouble to make something like that up. Meaning why would he pretend to know where Jacob is. His response was, "I lied, thats what I do". This reminds me of an old riddle where a man meets two boys, one always lies and one always tells the truth, I won't get into the details, but the one boy ALWAYS lies, anyways gettin off subject, Ben most ALWAYS lies, thats what he does, in his own words.
So, I think that he was lying at that instant, when he told "UnLocke" that he has never seen Jacob. He just claimed to be a liar, so why believe him now? Here is what I noticethink:
1. Richard told Locke when trying to bring Ben into the foot with him, "Only our leader can request an audience with Jacob..".
Well, as far as we know, Ben WAS the leader at one point, so if he wanted to meet Jacob in the past, Richard would grant a meeting. Unless he never was, but thats another story.
2. Ben was really over the top when he was whining to Jacob about how he never wanted to meet, and what about me, and boo hoo hoo. He was ACTING just like he did in the hatch when he was claiming to be whoever that baloon guy was, sorry its been a while. Michael Emerson is a good actor, and I think he plays Ben as an "actor", hell, we've all seen him put on an "act" throughout the show. Thats what he does, thats Ben. I don't think anyone knows his motives, his ambition, his knowledge,..., and we wont till its all over, or never, who knows.
3. So, thinking all of this, I believe that Ben HAS met Jacob, several times, and is playing "UnLocke". I think that Jacob and Ben are in cahoots, and have been trying to figure out MIB's plans this entire time. I think that Ben has been, along with Jacob, setting MIB up this entire "time".
4. I also think that MIB is sort of wise to this. That same conversation on the beach I mentioned earlier, "UnLocke" didn't seem to believe him, he looked skeptical to me. But at this point in the game, I don't think he had any other choice but to believe him. Advantage Ben.
5. One way or another, something was happening in that cabin when Ben and Locke arrived. Something was causing stuff to fly all around, something said "Help Me". I think Ben knew exactly what he was doing when he brought Locke there, and I don't buy his shock at all.
Anyway, running long. Ben is a self proclaimed liar,(but can you believe a liar when he says he lies, another story, sorry) so look into his answers to questions, and try to figure out his motives, it'll drive you nuts.
My theory, Ben IS a good guy, we just don't know it yet.
Rip it apart yall!
