Hi there,
just a quick thought that might have already been brought forth:
The reason MIB couldn't kill Jacob directly was because they might be each other's constants. This could also explain the no aging phenomena. Let's suppose MIB and Jacob are constantly being meshed through time. Swapping back and forth so quickly they don't even seem to disappear. They look the same at any time. So, to deal, they have each other's constant close at hand: on the same island.. Now I have no idea why they would be this way, or even how Ben killing Jacob was a loop-hole, but it's an neat idea to chew on while we wait for some good spoilers.
It's far out, yeah sure. But, uh enjoy talking about it. :)

P.S. Last season guys! This blows, but dang here we go... :)
