Rewatch of Season 1 finale--The Monster, who is controlled by Jacob's nemesis, was aggressive because Locke was serving Jacob's purpose in this episode. Locke, maybe, died when his father (who was working for Jacob's nemesis??) threw him out of the window. Jacob was on hand, and resurrected Locke by touching him. The touch made Locke Jacob's ally, whether for good or bad. The Monster is being manipulated by the Man in the black shirt (the not-Jacob nemesis, possibly Jacob's twin?) who hates Jacob. Later, the Monster and Locke would be allies because Locke would eventually be dead again, murdered by Ben; returned to the island; resurrected and used by the not-Jacob character to manipulate Ben to kill Jacob. Therefore, Locke dies twice and is "resurrected", first, by the touch of Jacob; and, secondly, by the touch of not-Jacob.
