My theory is pretty short and pretty simple, and while it does not try to predict the entirety of season 6, perhaps it can offer some clues...
Back when Desmond turned the fail-safe key, we saw what he experienced. His 'consciousness' traveled to a point in his past. When he returned to his present self, he was able to predict many events on- Island.
The bomb Jack dropped into the 'Swan hole' is going to release the same type of energy Desmond released when he turned that key. So I think the Losties who were in the 70's will travel in much the same way Des did. The only catch will be that they will have no bodies to return to like Des did, but will remain in the past, with much foreknowledge about many events on-Island, like Desmond times 100.
Now what this means for season 6 is anyone's guess, but I'd say they will most likely travel back to a point either while they are aboard 815, or just after the crash, about the time a certain doctor awakes in the bamboo forest. What do you guys think? It seems like I at least have some evidence to back this up and it's not just blue sky. But as far as what happens next, I have no clue. Any thoughts?
