I dont know how to begin my theory since i havent based this in the way like: "Jacob was wearing a white shirt but smokey was wearing a black wich means bla bla bla...."
I havent got any proof of this i "just" made a theory and i hope u like it.
I see Jacob as the leader of the island. The guy in charge. And the island has a securitysystem, i dont know if we will ever see the people behind the island - the egyptian people that found or made all the stuff and like "smokey" or the hieroglyphs. It seems like they stopped existing, left or maybe some of the others are the remnants of them.
I would like Jacob and/or Richard to be one of these "original" inhabitants.
Lets just say that Jacob felt lonely and wanted to bring people to the island.
But this is not something that is according to the rules. In Backgammon you are supposed to get your pieces off the board it would be cheat if u bringed them in - atleast if u bring them in on the other players board.
According to Ben its against the rules to come back if u have used the wheel to move the island.
So Jacob has to get past the islands very pwn securitysystem. The thing that Judges people and protects the island. ( Radzinsky had scribbled "Cerberus" and when Danielles boyfriend acted very wierd he called it a securitysystem).
Jacob gets into a timeloop and tries over and over again to succed with his wishes. But the securitysystem/Cerberus/Smokey/the monster, the thing with many names or - mib - no name at all, realises what he is trying to do and needs to kill him but he cant cus he is the leader of the island so he needs to find a loophole in order to do so.
Maybe Jacob had already tried a couple of times before the scene we saw in the beginning of "the incident". It could explain how he could "see into the future" by commanding his people to build a runway wich
helped 316 to land.
So the time we have seen, not just Jacob has directed the people we have seen but also mib(smokey) has involved himself in the "game".
Wich i suppose complicated things. And i think some things that Jacob has caused was only necesary because of smokey.
As for an example Jacob could have made Desmond invinsible (like Micheal) so that when he detonated the bomb wich caused the rest of the electromagnetism under the swan to dissappear. That he woke up naked in the jungle could have been because he was so near the detonation so he was supposed to die - all his cloths were blown up.
But Jacob saved him for a purpose yet unknown just like Micheal lived until the island was done with him.
But this caused a sideeffect, Desmond almost got offcourse in his past and then then he saw the future wich led to him saving Charlie a couple of times wich led to them getting off the island - wich was not suppsed to happened and problably not liked by any of the sides.
(A side note - when Eloise is talking about coursecorrecting could she somehow refer to Jacob? As Jacob is in some way in control over the destiny around the island? Or the actual island as some "timecontroller").
So i suppose the reason that Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid flashed into 77 was because that was what whas supposed to happened, if they hadnt left the island then that is wear they would have went, and Sun would have been ded so she didnt flash.
It was coursecorrection this scenario was even worse then when Desmond changed his course in the past - and thats why Eloise was so afraid when they asked what would happened if they did not do what was supposed to happened - note that she helped Desmond get on course and she also helped the losties to get in course - is this because of her sons diary or something else?
We have seen that Smpokey can mimic other persons bodys and know about them in a way like Miles and he hides the bodys - making them believe that he is actually their loved ones.
Can Jacob do the same or has he even greater powers? Right after Kate hears whispers in the phone about going back to the island she sees Claire saying Aaron should not go back to the island. Not to talk about all the people Hurley sees. Remember the talk Hurley had with Jacob? It was abot Hurley being more positive to himself. And all the ghosts seem to help him with that.
So whats the endgame?
What is Jacobs goal?
If he succeds in proving mib wrong will mib let people come to the island then?
I suppose that Jacob cant play by the easiest rules, i think that if he would want Sawyer to not wright the letter or Ben to not stab him, he would have really wanted to express himself in a more "directive" way, but maybe he cant because if he want to succed he must let them have "as much choise" that is allowed.
Maybe when he dies he do a final sacrifice telling mib that "they" are coming as if he has actually succeded only it was after his death and he had to die if "they" would count, so mib looks up terrified because maybe Jacob has won. But he killed himself in order to do so.
What do u think can any of this make sense?
Please help me continue.
And thanks for any comments :)
