Hi Everyone. May i just start by saying that I dont believe this theory, just had a the idea and thought i would share it and see what discussions came back.
This all started after watching the discovery channel and something about the universal battle between god and satan, the temptations in place and the games being played. Please note that I am not a religious kind of guy but do find the fundementle aspects of all faiths interesting.
Ok here goes.
The garden of Eden story, basically Gods puts adam and eve here and satan tempts them, we all know the story.. But the idea that came to me, What if, the battle between God and Satan (i think is more likely good and evil) is ongoing, but can only be 'tested' in one specfic place, notably the island. The battle/game/war goes on until one side prevails. I think the test is of maybe a few charactors, which ones yet i dont know.
Each player (jacob and MIB) pick a few key players in this game and set out to encourage a result, gently pushing each charactor into place.
Then they get judged by Smokie, we have already seen this and once they have been judged that person is either allowed to continue or is killed.
I dont know what the overall end goal of each player (jacob/MIB) but it could be the end of the world or the return of the devil. I dont know.
A few things to consider/discuss.
1. All religious beliefs of the charactors are not taken into consideration on the show, meaning the only thing that seperates them is good or evil
2.there is an ongoing theme of redemption
3. the relgious underlying of the show, through a number of religions
Thats it. I dont expect this to be popular, but as i said its just a thought.
