But when Desmond detonated this he travveled in time in the way u know.
So how abut a phenomenom like this for our losties?
Judging by Changs arm and such i think that the bomb being detonated is what always happened - it helped contain the energy - but the reason why the reset didnt work was because the comc was not enough.
Dan says that the energy there is 30 000 times more then the one in the orchid.
In the scene were Sayid tells Jack that it would be enough, he was problably wrong, and in the same scene Richard warns Eluoise saying "you are pregnant".
I think that is a huge clue. The pregnancy issue had not happened before te incident but this is problably what caused it, Elousie leaves the island giving birth outside of it after this.
Remember that it was cemented like "tjernobyl" - the radioactivity, i supose that the island is prety good of healing but a tjernobylthing - there may have been some "sideffects". - The pregnancyproblem.
And maybe Bens cancer.
So the losties will wake up after a blast but still find themselves in 77. Can u imagine how depressing that must be for Jack? And for Sawyer.
And a quick jump - In the first cabinscene we can pause te image and see a man. Couldent this look like a sad Jack?

So the phenomenon on the losties will it be bigger then Desmonds? Will they need a constant? If they survive they will become free of the rules like Desmond.
So lets say they do, even if they need a constant - maybe Jacob will visit them.
Remember he is still alive in 77.

And just for the theory to hold, lets say that smokey and Jacob has powers.

And maybe Walt was in deep contact with the island and therefore he got some powers.
Maybe the island made the numbers a curse - if they were a prediction of massdestruction then why not make them cursed?
So maybe smokey takes things in his own hands because he dousent want them to mess everything up like Desmond so he "lockes" them in his cabin.
And maybe the ashes are not magical but marks a line where the cabinprison ends.
Since the cabin moved maybe its like dislacnhed from time and space. So in the incident we see them being unleashed - Jacob - " They are coming".
And if Ilana is against smokey and knows about the cabin then i supose she would want to torch it.
But to get back to the point i started: Maybe they will travel back in their minds like Desmond - And create knew scenes in season 1. Therefore knew scenes with our old Characters - Boone, Charlie, Locke etc.
