I was watching Season 2 where Mr. Ecko shows Locke the book he found with the tape in it. The tape was the missing sections of the Swan Training video. When they link up the tape it has Chang saying, "No matter what happens, do not use the computer to communicate with the outside world in order to avoid another incident." The original tape, when cut, made it sound like not entering the numbers would cause the incident, but when the tape is whole it says that using the computer for communication would cause the incident. This is the episode where Michael thought Walt was talking to him through the computer and then he steals a gun and locks up Locke and Jack and takes off after Walt. Then Michael is used by the Others to go back to the Swan to get Ben out and he kills Ana Lucia and Libby.
So what we know is that the tape was made in 1980. The bomb went off in 1977. I don't remember the year Radzinsky killed himself. I thought for sure the incident chang refers to was the bomb. However, now I'm not so sure. Someone must have used the computer to communicate with the outside world (the Others/Hostiles) which led to something horrible happening. The way the tape sounds as if the Swan was already built when there was "an incident" and the bomb went off before the swan was up and running. Anyone have an idea of what this particular incident could be if not the bomb?
