I was thinking about what Christian told Sun in the barracks, "you have a long journey ahead of you." I don't think he could have just meant the walk to the statue. After that I assumed she would jump back to the 70's to be with Jin, but if she was going back there then she would have just gone with the others on the Ajira flight, right?
Then I saw a post that speculated the Losties could go back to when the Black Rock crashed on the island. This would be a good way to tell the Black Rock story other than through Richard flashbacks (I'm assuming he was on the Black Rock). Maybe they used the dynamite (because the Losties knew about it) to blow up the statue or something like that. But I feel pretty positive that Richard flashbacks will be a big part of season 6 and we'll get to meet the Hansos and DeGroots, etc. I can't wait to hear the flashback sound with a shot of Richard on the screen!
So what Long Journey was Christian referring to? I'm going to say that it could just be the trials of what lay ahead. I think the Losties touched by Jacob will flash to 2007. I think Miles will stay behind. I think descendants of the Black Rock and ghosts of Dharma will contribute in the fight against the black shirt guy, possibly in the Temple - because we have to see that place, right? All of these people will show that humans can evolve and those that have done bad things are not necessarily bad people.
Or I am completely wrong and it will end with Jack approaching John Locke on the beach and he'll say how much he wants to kill him (I stole this from another theory, but I liked it).
