My theory of lost since the season 5 finale is as follows.....
Jacob and his enemy arrived on the island with others. They proceeded to find the temple and were changed by the evil spirit who resides there.(ie.for toed statue)Jacob found that the powers of the energy on the island combined with the spirit who can manipulate it should be shared with others....the man who wants to kill jacob does not like this(i.e. ship arriving because of jacob)he beleives that others will bring bad things and that the island should stay hidden. Over time i beleive jacob realizes that there can be no peace and he has intervened in these peoples lives to bring them together to eliminate the spirit and destroy the island. The island has taken alot of characters lives the only ones so far to go there then leave without dying along the way are walt and aaron........The characters will bond together locke will return and the evil spirit will be defeated...end of show
