Okay, so I understand that this theory should have been put to rest by the explaination of time travel, so right there is a large hole in it. However, the statue is that of "the eater" an ancient Egyptian figure whose sole purpose was to judge if your soul was worthy enough to go to the afterlife. That, on top of the Amun-Ra symbol (the sun with out streached arms) that was behind Jacob makes some sense.
There is also the very obvious that Locke is dead and the mystery man we saw with Jacob in the beginning has taken over "living Locke". This theory is also really an add on of the theory that the plane at the bottom of the ocean was real. If we allow for a second this theory to be true, then the Oceanic 6 had to go back to the island because they are actually dead and the universe, as Faraday has always said, has a way of correcting itself. This is also why Miles was the only one to think that what Jack was trying to do, by blowing of the swan, WAS the event that lead to the swan being built.
There are some questions I'd like to know, if anyone could actually answer them:
1) What does Rose and Bernard's cabin, the same one we originally saw Jacob in and later burned by survivors of the other flight burn, have to do with anything?
2) I think Richard was one of the sailors on the Black Rock (or whatever the boat name was) and that is why he's favored by Jacob.
3) WTF is Christians role?
