Alright here’s my theory. As many people have said season 5 has mirrored that of season 2 and season 6 will mirror that of season 1. And I believe this is correct. The opening scene will have the opening eye of jack Sheppard, he will emerge out of the forest and start rescuing people from the burning wreckage of a crashed airliner. We will soon discover however that this is not oceanic 815 but rather ajira 316. By detonating jughead the losties did what miles had predicted; they caused the incident. So in effect, the losties changed nothing, instead of landing in LAX they will be transported to the time of the Ajira crash.
I believe that only the passengers of the flight will be transported to the ajira crash (ie. jack, sayid, hurley, and kate. Sawyer and co. will be likely be transported to somewhere on the main island, probably near the imploded swan hatch which they will no doubt find. Maybe even eventually sawyer and them will be tricked into interrupting a circular ring of dust around an abandoned cabin. But my head is hurting.
If jack and co. do end up on Ajira this means that Jacob and the unnamed scary guy are both still alive and plotting to kill each other. It also means that the losties will be interacting with the resurrected evil john Locke. When Jacob said, “their coming” to evil Locke in the finally, was he suggesting that although evil Locke “had done a lot to get there”, Jacob had a clever little loophole of his own. Did this sinister entity play right into Jacobs hands? By putting the losties in place to blow off jughead he has given himself a second chance along with the opportunity to insert and new loyal variables. There will probably be many suspicions brought up among jack and co. as to the true intentions of evil Locke. Eventually Locke will convince Ben to go on their trip to kill Jacob and the losties will be left with illana, bram, and real Locke’s dead body. Based off their previous knowledge of the statue the losties will be able to gain the trust of Illana when ! she asks them what lies in the shadow of the statue. She shows them whats in the box and they find the dead body of john Locke. Good thing we have two main characters who can talk to ghosts.
