I have a theory that the flashback to our characters with jacob will have more to do with laying out next season. I believe each will go back to that point in time when Jacob appeared and they will then change their destiny. Kate won't steal or kill, she'll be a good girl. Sawyer will give up his Con ways and not chase after 'sawyer', Sayid will save Naydya, Jack will become a great dr...no drug/alcohol problems, Hurley needs no changing, so he will just be hurley. Sun and Jin will not take each other for granted and have a happy life, Juliet, I'm afraid is gone, she was never part of the pack, but perhaps Sawyer will find her before she takes a trip to the island, so maybe there was no need to touch her?? Just my thoughts. I do think they will intertwine together again, but under happy circumstances.
