This entire time we have be totally in the dark about who the good guys are. Who can we trust? Jacob is now included in that bunch! Jacob has been spying and orchestrating bringing people to the island where they will inevitably DIE all to prove a point to dark shirt guy.n He has more to prove, dark shirt just wants it all to stop. However because we have this preconcieved notion that black is always bad and white is always good.. have we gotten it backwards.
If Jacob has been in control all this time, why has all this bad stuff been happening? There are no rainbows, bunnies and unicorns.. there is death , meaningless fighting and more death. I believe that both light and dark are equal they are working for one to be exalted above the other. In Dark shirts case, he mthinks that killing Jacob will result in his reign and Jacob's demise, however could Jacob's "death", (I say this because I don't believe he can be killed) actually the result that Jacob has been manipulating Off island with our 815ers for? Does his death bring about the change that he hopes humanity can make. was dark shirt guy the catalyst for the change that he believes could never come to be? Was this all a Long Con game set match for Jacob? Could the writers be showing us through the smallest most insignificant hint ( the LOST title sequence) That Dark is no longer dominant, but the light side has finally won?!?! We'll see I guess..
