So i'm sitting here, wondering if i'll ever get out of work, and then the idea hits me. While i was imagining some type of device that could transport me, to the time in which i'm driving away from work, my mind immediately thought of the eloise the rat. Aren't we all mice in a maze of one type or another? OF COURSE NOT! anyway, i began to wonder what would happen to me now, right now, if i should find some type of instrument that could vault me ahead in time say, about an ahour and a half. where would I go? would my body sit here, catatonicly, as my consciousness raced into the unknown? I say, maybe. and say this happened, and i wasn't dead, but I was non responsive but every now and again i'd give a clue that I was still around, maybe even intermittenly, but I'm still around because, well, my message says so.
This leads me to believe that jacob underwent the same type of experiment that eloise did; in that, he was catapulted to the future, at least his mind was, leaving his body behind. from there, I think that we'll find jacob's body, in the finale, lying catatonic-ly, wherever richard is taking locke and company.
And so, in the box that Ilana and Bram are about to move, is the instrument capable of sending one's consciousness into the future.
