It seems unlikely that our beloved Losties are going to stay thirty years apart for the rest of the series, however, it would take some serious doings in order to get them all together again. I think "Follow The Leader" showed us how that will be accomplished.
First of all I believe that John is going to use "Jughead" to try to kill Jacob. Second I believe an undetonated "Jughead" exists in both 1977 and 2007. So if by extreme coincidence, which there is plenty of on LOST, John and Jack, both detonate "Jughead" at the same time 30 years apart,(Yes, I know how weird that sentence is), it could potentially cause a wormhole to be opened joining together two groups of people 30 years without killing them all. I think that this could also be The Incident, in that, to an outside observer it would seem as though the bomb worked improperly while a different kind of energy torn the fabric of time to pieces. It could also explain why Richard said he saw everyone die. Because, from his perspective, Jack fiddles with an H-bomb and suddenly disappears with Sayid and the others, while everyone else remains alive.
