After watching the whole finale this is exactly what has happened here. lock, christian, alex (and other form of dead person on island) = bad and represent the guy with jacob at the begining. alpert, the others, illana and co = good and represent jacob.
this is why richard couldnt understand how lock was alive and why he didnt know what he was going to do next, because its not coming from the good side, its orders from the bad.
ben is good and his final scene with jacob demonstrated that, everything ben has done has been for jacob and the island, he always said he was the good guy and he is...jacob has just treat him reall really bad because he didnt care about him (proven when he said 'what about you?')
final thought, when jacob told lock 'theyre coming', he means our losties. from 70s back to locks time, and now the war is on!!!!
