All of the information that Eloise, Ben etc. had regarding events on the island came from the Jack and co. travelling back in time, and from Daniel's note book. Because they travelled back from 2007, their knowledge only goes to 2007. I don't think Daniel is dead yet - the comic con video of Dr. Chang and Daniel hasn't been recorded yet so he must survive long enough to help open the window in time which sends Jack and co back to the right time - but he will be by the end of the season. His main role in the show is to help explain what the hell is going on with all this time travel, and that's going to stop after this season. Because people's knowledge about what's going to happens only goes up until 2007 we can safely say that there'll be no more travelling back in time in the future. What about travelling into the future? There's not really a lot of point in that, is there? Maybe to explain the origins of the s! moke monster or Jacob, but there's no other reason.
What's this war going to be? It's gonna be the purge part two. Dr. Chang in the video at comic con saying that they need to restart Dharma is the big clue here. Daniel probably thinks that restarting Dharma will help research continue enough for them to learn how to stop the oceanic 815 crash, which will make the 1st purge not happen. Which will stop the deaths of all them dharma people (and all the other people who died for that matter). When Jack and co. return to their time, it'll be Locke's job to lead them in the war against dharma (these's are the new folk that came on the Ajira flight) and make sure Dharma don't win, because if they do it will mean that a whole load of charachters will be erased from existence, and dharma will probably unleash some power in the future which will mean the end of the world (or at least the island).
I think that oceanic plane on the bottom of the ocean was the real plane, with all of our heroes dead on it. Daniel was crying because he somehow remembered them. Charles lied that he put it there, because lets face it, even for him that's a hell of a lot of effort.
That plane being there is a view of what will happen if Dharma win the up-coming war.
So who's Jacob? He's got to be from the future. Maybe he's the last (or one of the last) survivor of the up-coming war, and he's found a way to council people in the past as to what they need to do to win the war. It can't be John Locke because he's seen and heard the 'real' Jacob. If Chang's ideas about what would happen if the future self and past self meet are true, then something much worse than a window smashing would have happened. It can't be Hurley because he's seen him too. I'm gonna guess that it's either Jack, based on the fact that he's been our main hero from the start. People have been saying Aaron might be Jacob, and this might be true. Claire told Kate not to bring Aaron back to the island to make sure he survives the war long enough to get back to the island and become Jacob. Aaron was the first person to be born on the island in a long time, and that makes him special.
What's the smoke monster? John Locke said what it is back in season one. It's the eye of the island. Ben said they don't have a name for it, and that makes sense. Maybe Dharma called it cerebus because of the fact that it protects the island. It can't be a man-made security system, because if it was there would be a better way to switch it on other than saying something down a dirty hole in the ground.
Smokey is the island getting involved when people don't do what the island wants.
Who are Adam and Eve? I'm not sure I care that much, but I'd say Rose and Bernard. When they found Adam and Eve, Jack said the bodies have been dead for about 50 years. My first point about why knowledge about what's going to happen says that no more travelling back in time is going to happen, so it has to be two people who've already travelled back. As far as I can see, everybody else is accounted for.
The Black Rock? Proof that the island will be moved again I'd say. I don't buy the idea of a tsunami. What would be the point in that? and how would they do it?
That's about all my thoughts on the show exhausted. I'm bound to be wrong.
