The opening scene, we see a man in black clothes (related to the monster also perhaps), and Jacob in white clothes. They can't kill each other, this is interestingly similar to Ben and Widmore. So it seems, I assume most people know this now, that dead really is dead, the man in black clothes now is in the body of Locke, seemingly this is the loophole - as he is in a poisiton of power where he can get Ben to kill Jacob. When Ben went to the temple 'Alex' encouraged him to follow Locke's orders.
"They're coming?" the 77er's or another party? I believe that the Incident happened, the island perhaps tried to course-correct by letting the bomb not explode, however Juilet then set it off. So the incident happened like it always did, with the limb loss and all. This bomb didn't go off last time, the show and Miles was pushing us towards thinking that was the case - when, in fact, they were different events.
