As I am sure you all can remember, Eloise was Daniel Faraday's untrained lab rat. Her consciousness was sent forward in time via a now familiar type of light. This allowed her to run the maze perfectly in their present. She was supposedly taught this maze by Faraday one hour in the future. Eloise died later that day.
Ok, what can this tell us? Is it a PARADOX? Daniel may have intended to teach Eloise the maze in the future but it never happens. Daniel surely did not travel back in time after he trains Eloise the maze so he can do this experiment when she has no knowledge of it. Eloise in her present now knows the maze so she no longer needs to be taught it. There is NO Explaining this other than she experienced an ALTERNATE, PARALLEL, or TANGENT timeline. One thing for certain, training Eloise to complete the maze was not her ULTIMATE future. I believe This was an "In your face" part of that episode to display not only the need for a "Constant" (which Faraday concluded Eloise needed so she did not die) but also to show us the MACRO possibilities as applies to the LOST story.
Where in Space-time did Eloise go? Where in Space-time are our LOSTIES right now or have been? If Eloise did not go to her "Actual" Future in her little world, is it a stretch to say our players have NOT experienced, are NOT experiencing or will NOT experience their ACTUAL future in their world. Are we watching events that did happen/will happen or is this where/when the LOSTIES have traveled to learn? Which part of the Losties story is going to coincide with Eloise's journey. The one that she actually took to get the knowledge of the Maze. When the light hits, are the LOSTIES on a trip which will give them the answer to complete a problem in some other SPACE TIME? I must add that Constant or no constant it would not have mattered to Eloise as to where she went in Space-time to learn the maze, it was not HER actual future. Apply this to our Losties and you can see that something is amiss. We cannot conviently sweep this "DIRTY RAT" under the Rug. Theory by I.M.godhere
