Ok, first of all bravo on all the fans of the show for sticking up with it even though it gets crazier with each passing second, all of the theories I’ve read here seem great. Ok so after reading thoroughly Vozzek69's things i noticed for the episode 5.11 i took the courage of once again posting a little far-fetched theory of my own. So to me Vozzek is making a strong point when he says that the producers have something up their sleeves that will leave half of us like... huh? and the rest OMG! I personally belong to the second group no matter what the "LONG CON" as i call it would be once revealed to us. Ok so my theory starts where Vozzek's point ends: the fact that all the visual, audio and acting continuity errors are ALL already planned out. Just follow me a little on this one. We are not talking about HEROES here we are talking about LOST. Do you honestly think that a show of that magnitude, that focuses o! n every single detail would have continuity errors? I don't think so and i hope you neither! LOST seems to be indeed lost in detail. And to me Bens opposite wound tells me a lot. What if indeed the island is an actual opposite world? What if whatever happened special people (being our Losties) would have the opportunity to change reality almost subconsciously into the exact opposite situation? How on earth can our infamous bald hunter know when it's going to rain? How on earth does a wound change place form fatal heart-left to right if the person who first sees it (Jin) hopes that little Ben survives his wound? Why on earth would Juliet pass to Amy a doll instead of a baby? She had a look as if she almost WANTED Ethan baby to be a doll-not real baby! Are still with me? Good! The opposite world theory first struck me when i saw the Aijira flight being island-flashed. But this was not all was it? NO! the plane actually seemed to rotate around itself, finally turned over almos! t totally turned backwards/opposite as the flashed faded the w! hole scr een. Then BAM! The night becomes day! The exact opposite! The island seems to have its own rules on the terms of how things will end up to be. The perspective of special people seems to have an effect on the reality of their environment. What if they all imagined the island? Sun wanted to leave Jin then their relationship was strengthened by the survival struggle on the island- they needed the island. Locke wanted his ability to walk back so that he would go on the walkabout and a few hours later he is off into the jungle of mystery killing boars. He even wanted to explore instead of hunt and BAM! Dharma Initiative springs out of nowhere as a Hatch door. He needed the island. Michael did not want to be a father but tried hard to, he becomes a killer to get his son back- he needed the island. Sawyer wanted to kill the man responsible for the death of his parents then 3 seasons later he strangles him. He needed the island. He even wanted to be a better person, a trustworthy le! ader once his path of revenge ended, the island made him head of security in Dharma Ville! Jack wanted his father back, good old Zombie dad even lets Vincent loose in the jungle to wake him. He needed the island. Kate wanted a place to get out of her life as a fugitive she found herself in a beautiful island beach where no one knew who se was and what she had done. She needed the island. Sayid wanted to forget his past life as a torturer BAM! Many Sawyers and Bens around to exercise some good old-fashioned Iraqui style bamboo torture! he needed the island also to exercise his incomplete killing talents. Cynical but true! Desmond wanted to be important yet not ready for huge responsibilities, BAM! he ends in a DHARMA station and is shown a video with guy of very questionable honesty telling him to do something extremely important and responsible: Push the button, save the world. He needed the island. Claire was afraid of being a mom but she loved Aaron even before his birth ! BAM! Plane crushes baby is born, she becomes a mom. She needed! the isl and. Charlie needed the island also. He was a pathetic junkie then he is a free -of-drugs most acceptable and recognised sacrificed hero of LOST! He wanted to be someone besides having a pathetic excuse for a life! Hurley wanted to stop eating that much and get away from his money that seemed to cause him nothing but trouble. BAM! The Island's diet and profound lack of ATM's suited him just fine! Also a hatch door with the numbers he was trying to find awaited him! I could just go on and on with examples but you get the idea. It seems as if the island was the inner wish of all our characters. Its as if they almost wanted the plane to crush, the island to be there for them. I gave you examples of many of the characters whose reality changed sometimes totally in the opposite direction of simply went that way during their stay on the island. To me the O6 were never supposed to leave because we would never know what kind of people they would turn out to be if they were to be liv! ing in the mainland, if the 815 flight actually landed in the LA airport. Believe it or not ALL the losties are or can be extremely dangerous to themselves or other people if they weren’t taught an island-style lesson. Do you imagine what would happen to the stock markets if Hurley would just lose his mind by the whole Numbers thing? The economical balance would be inflicted by such a sudden loss of money invested in all sort of companies that Hurley's agent spent on would be catastrophic even for the global economy. Jack would be dangerous for his patients and his ex after his divorce. Lives would be lost. Same goes for Sayid who became more and more dangerous for others. Sun's father is rich! Can you imagine his company being run by a fisherman? Locke is still a mystery to me i admit it. In relation to the island he is shockingly important so not being on it makes him extremely dangerous i guess. Hawking's God Help Us all wont leave me! All in all the characters of the ! show are found in a place where reality is seemingly both rell! evant an d irrelevant just as time is THE essence on this place they all end up. The island is where they are all supposed to end up because they are very dangerous to themselves and others in the mainland. So they are led to a "Polar bear cage and they have to find the way to the food" - The Island. A place where mirracles happen. Where chasing the white rabbit is not a fantasy afteralll an you have to be man enough to catch it. Because in the mainland you certainly couldnt do such a thing. Because of the RULES..... The rules of reality if you ask me. The world reality which i use so much strikes me as an awfully cool one since Mathew Fox never seems to comment on his characer in the show without saying "Jack always tried to gain control over his reality" THIS IS HUGELY IMPORTANT. Remember, no matter how hard he tries to cheat us with his "i have an idea of where the show is headed to" jibber jabber talk, Mathew Fox KNOWS THE END OF LOST thus the "Long Con" the producers have in sto! re for us. What connects all of the Losties besides the "Easter Eggs" we can see throughout the show about their past lifes? (Hurley owning the box company Locke worke for, Charlie saving Nandia and stuff) If this is answered LOST is over. I personally think that LOST is about reality. Opposite reality. Changing reality. Living an exactly opposite life of what you expected before your flight to LA crashed. Its about Changing "THE RULES" (of reality). Breaking them. Pass through them. You can be whoever you want to be. You will be tesed for it. You may not pass the trial. You will be judged. Just believe it and the island will do the rest........ Theory by System1988
