Is it possible that, in order to explain a lot of the "coincidences" that happened off-island, such as Jack meeting Desmond, Kate meeting Sawyer's girl, Ana-Lucia/Sawyer/Christian, etc etc etc, we'll see (or not see - it could just be "explained") the Losties time travelling off-island..? Or mind-travelling?
I think it's likely that everything that seemed crazilly coincidental will be explained in this way.
But... i also believe that it would be a waste of our time for them to show every single such event... so I think they'll show us 1-3 of them and leave us to figure out which were the others... (not that we'll care at that point)... or... they'll show a new coincidence, showing us why it's happened, and leave it at that.
The numbers appearing everywhere... Hurley winning the lottery... it could all then be explained. We're nearly there now with where the story has gone this year - but not quite. I think they'll wrap up all these coincidence-based mysteries in a single episode - and leave us with something new to think about (as always)...
