And Sayid cut the rope...You will say: "Nothing strange, nothing weird. He doesn't remember." Of course there is nothing. It is Benjamin Linus for God sake.
And Miles said that he didn't think of that??? How could he? He WASN'T THERE. In that hatch. How could Miles know if Ben di or didn't recognize Sayid? Only Ben knew that. Only Ben knew if he recognized him or not. And of course he wouldn't react. It was his plan. To infiltrate and mess with their mind. Would he be able to that if he said: "Sayid, it is you. Oh my God it's been years. I brought you sandwiches every day got beaten by my dad because of you but then I helped you escape from almost certain death and you killed me. And now I am gonna screw with your life too."
It was weeks after Oceanic crashed. No? Weeks after Ben received all info on survivors from Mikhail. Did we ever see his reaction when he saw faces of some of the survivors? No! But I bet you that he was shocked. He saw Jim La Fleur. Sayid Jarrah. Kate Austen. Come on. He knew it is happening. Happening Right now. He had weeks to think and plan things. And it was weeks after he showed up at their hatch. Right?
Lets go back to the last episode. Ben is half dead. Richard took him to the Temple. Maybe Ben was already gone. Maybe not. But the point is he will get out alive. And different. He will be one of them. I don't believe he will turn out to be evil. Or anything. But he will have priority. And his priority is the island. And to be a leader.
My guess that Richard and Smoke monster will take care of him. Together.
That is exactly what happened to John Locke and Christian Shepard.
Christian Shepard died from heart attack. Alcohol. He is half ghost half human.
John Locke was killed by a former leader of The Others. He is fully human. As far as we know.
Benjamin Linus was alive before he was brought to Richard. He was shot by time traveler Sayid Jarrah. He is fully human. As far as we know.
The only difference between them is that both Ben and Locke appeared to be the same. Human. Who can bleed. Who can eat. Are seen by all people etc.
Christian no. He is different. Maybe it has something to do with amount of sins he had or the way he died. Because both Locke and Ben before they were 'resurrected' were innocent. Good. Naive. Unhappy. Bullied by their father. They just wanted a place under Sun. Their own. But Christian was a father who bullied his son. Who had two families. And didn't care about his daughter at all. Who lied. Who wasn't exactly a good man. And he killed himself drinking to death. As far as we know.
So there is no other way to rise from dead then the way of Temple and Smoke Monster.As far as we know.
And I bet you the first time we heard Smoke Monster in the jungle at night (Pilot 1) was Smoke Monster resurrecting Christian Shepard. Soon after that he was seen by Jack and his coffin was empty. Why else would Smoke be so close to the Beach. It was never that close except these first 2 days when they crashed. Near to the caves.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING...he doesn't know how he ended up on the island. He just happened to be on that beach. Right? He doesn't have a clue why he is dressed the way he is dressed. But he does remember the island and DI...he remembers his friends. He remembers a lot.
But the LAST THING he remembers is
John Locke: I REMEMBER DYING.
He remembers dying. He remembers Ben killed him. There is probably only one way to rise again from dead or half dead...Smoke and The Temple. So I am pretty sure Ben remembers too. He remembers how he was near to death, or he died, but everything after that is gone. He doesn't know he was in The Temple. But he knows who Sayid Jarrah is. He knows he is a killer. And he remembers Kate and Sawyer.
He had the list of passengers of Oceanic 815. Mikhail gave him the list. It's been weeks since he came to their camp. He studied them. And he saw Sayid on that list. He saw photo of him. He knew it is happening right now. He prepared himself. And he played the role. That's why he wasn't shocked when he saw him from that net. In the hatch.
