I love Lost more than a lot of things...
Mainly because it is a tv show which encourages people to philosophize
and discuss.
During much of my dissussing and thinking i have come up with a few strong possibilities about the mysteries of LOST.
One of my early theories is that Jack and Kate would turn out to be Adam and Eve and would eventually spawn the existence of mankind.
I gathered evidence from an episode in season 1 where John and Jack stumble upon two Skelitons holing black and white stones....
John refers to these skellitons as "Adam and Eve"
I stongly believed in this theory for the early stages of season 5, during the time skipping days...
I thought Jack and Kate woul return to a time skipping island and would have a child. This child would be born in a year on the island where no human lives in the outside world....
therefore creating human life.
One of my more recent theories is that upon returning to the island John Locke has been possesed by the ghost of Jacob...
This is a theory that i am leaning towards heavily lately...
If you think back a few episodes, to when John was first seen alive on the island again.
He mentions that he can remember dying...
we take it for granted that it is John speaking,
he also mentions that he is eating the best mango he has ever tasted.
This seems a bit odd and kind of sticks in your head, but could this be the words of jacob, as he hasn't eated otr tasted in so long....
John now also knows the location of the temple and seems much more dominant and assertive, an example would be when he is talking to ben from behind the leaders desk.
One final odd peice of evidence is that John says to sun
"I'm the same man i've always been..."
There seems to be a glimmer in his eye during this line which suggests to me that John has changed since returning...
And as ben says "Dead is Dead"
John is dead people... Jacob now embodies him! Theory by DiscoBomb
