I believe the incident will be the result of Faraday messing with the electromagnetic energy on the island in order to move the losties back into present time, he has been gathering research and info on all the aspects of time travel, ie. seeing him in the orchid in episode one, and i believe that in the season finale he will attempt to move the losties back into present time in order to stop them being killed by the dharma people who know that they are lying, and also to prevent charlottes death
the experiment will go horribly wrong and they will all be moved 30 years into the future, hence the comic con video showing pierre chang and faraday explaining that it was pivotal that the dharma initiative should be reformed and kept alive for as long as possible
i also believe that not being allowed to use the computer for outside use other than entering the code is important, if they try to speak they may somehow contact themselves in the future which would explain why another incident could occur, because the losties would want them to cause another incident thus to keep them engaged in time, rather than dislodge them by not causing the incident
