Something occurred to me while watching the previous episode of Lost- Whatever Happened, Happened.
Alpert's dialogue goes something like:
"I dont answer to them"
When asked:
"Shouldn't someone tell Ellie or Widmore?"
Why would the producers put this line in? Apart from the obvious, which is asserting Richard as the leader of the others, only answerable to Jabob/Person X etc.
This is where my theory starts, I think the producers added that line to tell the audience that at this point Widmore was still on the island.
We know from past episodes that Widmore says that Ben "stole" the island from him. This is where it starts. With Sawyer and Kate handing over little Ben to Alpert, it began...the "War" between the two for control of the island.
Back to the Reunion part of the theory, after Ben becomes One Of Them he tricks Widmore into leaving the island, presumably for him never to return.
The only real way to leave the Island, apart from the sub which is controlled by Dharma, is the Frozen Donkey Wheel. The FDW must be turned by Widmore, then at this point, one of two things could happen:
1. The Left Behinders & The O5 jump to 2007
2. Ben, Locke, Frank and Sun jump to 1977
Personally, I see it being the Sawyer, Juliet, Miles, Jin, Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid jumping.
This of course begs the question: What about the DI? Will they jump too?
Of course, the answer is no. We have already seen the island only take certain people with it when it jumps. When Locke "moved" at the start of this season, but Alpert and The Others didn't. On Ajira 316 it only took Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid.
Obviously this will lead to the reunion of Sun/Jin, Jack/Locke etc.
Anyway, that's my thoughts, comment away and feel free to slate this.
