I was pondering all of the possible explanations for Richard needing Paul's body other than for justice, like he said.
We know its not that, because it would be rediculous. I think at that point in time in 1977, dharma began experimenting with HUMAN time travel (whereas it was just animals before that), and at that point the "hostiles" (who i think are the guardians of time, or humanity, or something like that) became worried.
When we throw in all the theories floating around, all the ones that involve how one can become "immortal" through time travel, I am starting to suspect that they are taking the bodies so that they cannot somehow ressurect them.
Its been driving me crazy, perhaps more than any other Lost mystery....ok, maybe not, but still.
The only other things I can think of is that they would want the bodies to either escort to the underworld, or to somehow possess them.
What else could it be? lets hear it. Theory by AbsoluteTruth
