I spoke of this briefly in my theory (thoughts and questions) about Richard Alpert and the Temple, but have been thinking more about it.
We only know, or think that we know that Eloise Hawking is Daniels mother, because Charles Widmore told Desmond that she is. I do believe that Elle from the 50's is Eloise Hawking, but we have NO proof that she is Daniels mother. Daniel never spoke the name of his mother.
The more I think about it, the less I believe that Eloise Hawking is Daniels mother. Ben seemed suprised that Desmond knew that she was his mother, or so it seemed. Now I think that he knows that she is NOT his mother, and just kept his mouth shut in Ben style. Eloise did not seem interested or concerned when Des said he had a message from her son, perhaps because he is not her son.
Daniel is Amy's baby, and the reason he didn't get nosebleeds is because he was born on the island. Charlotte probably was not born on the island, her mother would have left on the sub to be born off island, as the doctor in the 70's said all babies are born off island. Amy's baby was the anomoly, being the first actually born on island.
I originally thought that Amy's baby was Thomas (Aaron's daddy) or Karl, but the more I think about it, Daniel makes more sence, why he knows so much about the island, why he didn't get nosebleeds, why he is so in love with Charlotte...it all makes more sence.
