This is a theory based on something Al Trautwig mentioned in his recap of S05E05.
"... and Rousseau's team is there with the radio, and you clearly hear someone other than Rousseau doing the numbers, and I think that the person reading those numbers are Hurley"
So, if we assume that the island or the left behinders, whoever or whatever is moving through time, is now placed in the early DHARMA period, during the construction of the stations, of the island and the O6 also returns in that period of time, the remaining castaways could have had something to do with everything in good old early DHARMA days.
For example;
Hurley is reading the numbers in the transmission Rousseau's team picks up on the radio.
Hurley decided what had to be written in on the computer in the hatch.
Hurley decided to put the numbers on the outside of the hatch (to recognize it or something).
But then the question becomes, where did the numbers all start? In the past, present or future? Theory by Ejrik
