I've never heard anybody mention this
On a pilot rewatch, about a quarter of the way in Pilot part 1, Jack and Kate are having a conversation. In the background, several survivors are talking about the first appearance of the monster, and asking what it was. Rose can clearly be heard saying that it seemed somewhat familiar to her.
Familiar? Why would it be familiar to her. Other characters throughout the episode continuously say that they've never heard anything like it, or it's very odd. Michael even says that it's clearly not natural.
So is her familiarity with it in some way the result of the time loop, or something else. Was this the clue in the pilot that has been mentioned before?
And speaking of Rose. I've often thought that we've only seen a few people effected by the island's apparent ability to heal. In fact only Locke and Rose come to mind. But why was Rose healed? She's a minor character at best, so what is so important about her that the island would heal her. Or does it just heal everybody unless it doesn't want to, and it's just more obvious with her since she had cancer?
Speaking of characters that haven't had much meaning. I still understand the deal with Sayid. He's never meant much to the grand scope of the island. Hurley has the numbers connection, Sawyer killed Locke's dad, but the best Sayid has done is fix a few things. Theory by Locke4God
