ok. so basically i think that ms. hawking, and walt all have the same ability. First, let's start out with Ms. Hawking. Recently, in an interview the person who plays her said " I belive Ms. Hawking can be anywhere she wants to be at any given time, but I don't know if she knows how to control it." Sound familiar? This leads us to Walt.
As I'm sure you all remember in Season 3 Micheal was taken by the Others. While in their "camp" a woman came in and asked Micheal 1 question. She asked if Walt had appeared anywhere he shouldn't have been. Like on the other side of the world. As we all know, Walt has appeared in a lot of places he shouldn't have been during the course of the show. But the question is, does Walt know he has this ability? Personally, I think he does not. Here's why. In the Life and Death of JB, Walt told John that he had a dream that he was in a suit and the people around him were trying to hurt him. Mabe that's how it happens. Mabe he thinks he's dreaming, but he's actually really there.
We'll see as the show plays out.
P.S. This has nothing to do with my theory, but did anyone notice in LADOJB how Abaddon left as soon as Walt started over there? You would think that the writers would have just have Locke sitting there, but they made a point to have Abaddon leave. WHO KNOWS? mabe it's nothing. Theory by Littleman
