We all saw the Ajira airways water bottle on the outrigger in ep 5x04. Chances are most of us went to the ajira website and saw the videos too. In the videos are "316", which is probably the flight number of whoever reaches the island, and on the boarding passes were the heiroglyphics from the swan station clock.
Now the simple and easy explanation would be that its the Oceanic 6 plus Ben and Locke. But Lost isn't simple or easy.
The more complicated answer is that Widmore and his team found the island with Desmond and Eloise Hawking's help and Widmore is going to get revenge on Richard, Ben, and anyone else who has ever stood in his way of controlling the island.
Evidence:
1) The swan station heiroglyphs are Dharma creations, and Widmore helped Dharma take over the island in the 1970's.
2) Widmore has a painting in his office of a polar bear, Dharma, and Namaste. Not to mention the Widmore Industries pregnancy test Sun used.
3) Juliet knew about Ajira airways but denied that it was a source for "other others" as Sawyer put it.
4) The only way to have a climactic battle between Ben and Widmore is for both of them to be on the island where they can die. Remember, Ben said that "We both know I can't do that" to Widmore about Killing him.
5) Widmore knows Eloise Hawking and she knows the event window for returning to the island.
6) Finally, the Oceanic 6 plus Ben would probably recognize Dan, Charlotte, John, Juliet, Sawyer, and Miles, even from 100 yards plus, and they wouldn't just open fire on people rowing away from them.
