All my thoughts and connections will make more sense once you do. This is not so much a theory, but a bunch of information that seems more then just a connection that im hoping the LOST brainiacs can dissect. First off to get any of this you should be familiar with the song one night in bangkok. It was a song about a chess tournament in bangkok. Now i have heard many people saying that lost itself is a game of chess or something related. Ok to the video. This video was i guess a uk promo from the first season. In the video you see all the connections we have seen develop. Kate going back and forth from sawyer to jack. Sun going back and forth from michael and jin and Boone and Sayid switching with whats her name(lol). Some of the more interesting things i found that i can't piece together is Locke and Walt ! composing, directing the others in this song showing leadership and direction. I can see why they have locke there, but why Walt what have we not seen that makes walt so important. Then you have charlie dancing by himself and you have Hurley walking with his suitcase approaching the others as if not apart of them. I can't put my finger on the signifcance of that. Where i think it gets interesting is at about 1:50 into the song. Now the whole song just gives the techno repeat of one night in bangkok for the most part at the beginning of the song in a very deep voice you hear "ONE NIGHT... AND THE WORLDS YOUR OYSTER". You never really hear a whole verse. So anyways, at 1:50 you have claire sitting by herself looking up then you finally have the only real verse, which happens to be the chorus to the song.
"One night in Bangkok and the world's your oyster
The bars are temples but the pearls ain't free
You'll find a god in every golden cloister
And if you're lucky then the god's a she"
The last line to chorus which isn't showed at first is "I can feel an angel sliding up to me"
Is the island heaven and the constant battle is that of heaven and its control? Are they angels and the shephards are the gods and goddess's? I am confused, but what i do know is that In LOST everything happens for a reason there are no coincidences. To have this whole cast of LOST, this cast over very important people to the overall story in this random music video to promote the show for season one makes no sense. So there must be a purpose. A techno song with the cast which divulges no info about the show, how is that a promo or a good one at that. Cause it is not really a promo, but a message. It is giving us clues. Then this promo was apparently showed briefly in the uk, but never in the U.S. So my best guess is that Cuse and Lindelof thought it showed to much. If you guys can please dissect and reply that would be great and again sorry for bad writing.
