Ok so with Charlotte I wanted to put a out a few bizar ideas as to why this skip’n in time may be effecting her in a bad way.
I am going to go with Dharma actually turned the wheel in the late 70’s or early 80’s (Char was born in 1979.)
*Think: Polarbear in the Desert!
1. If Dharma jumped/skipped in time before, it could have been when she was a little baby or child and so something about traveling that way twice is just not good (But this points out that when dharma jumped, the Island either quickly landed somewhere in time, or they were unstuck in differant places-maybe, seeing that it is unlikely for anyone other than Des to ulter such things or be in two places at once (richard can not move with our current travelers)
2. To extend upon the above, what if when the Island skipped, her mother was a dharma member and in the time they moved to, she met a guy, fell in love, and got pregnant! regardless of the outcome with her parents, Charlotte would be a by product of parents who are from two (maybe-large-gaps in) periods of time.
3. What if she was born when the Island was ’unstuck’ (is that possible??)
4. Al.Razor: She is just the first to experience what is coming to them all!
5. All of the above??
