I am theorizing that to return to the island, Christian went to Australia to sacrifice himself (and try to see Claire, of course), and thus force Jack to bring him back by plane. Big Theory Leap – with this “special” dead body on the plane, it will always crash (or end up somehow) on the island, WHEREVER it may be.
Interesting coincidence: Yemi also was dead on a small plane which somehow crashed on an island thousands of miles away - he had also sacrificed himself.
So Locke, who somehow sacrificed himself on the mainland for this purpose, will now be the dead body on the plane which will carry the O6, and they will end up back on the island. Christian “lived” again, Yemi “lived” again, and so will Locke.
Also, doesn’t have to be a plane, of course. Was there a “special” body in a coffin as the Black Rock set out to sea?
It’s also interesting to me that of all the characters who crashed on the island, only Hurley and Jack had to thwart obstacles to be on that plane. Why? Everyone else of importance was pretty much handed a ticket. Hurley’s still the surprise loose cannon in all of this.
Wheels within wheels within wheels.
The mini-episode where Christian was actually the first cast member to be shown was the eye-opener, and understandably deleted from the actual series until now.
If you “move” the island, you can never go back…alive? Will Ben get back on Locke’s funereal coat tails, the weasal? :-)
Forgive the babble, please.
Cannot wait for whatever the writers have in store for us.
