I have watched all the LOST seasons on dvd over the summer and have came up with many theories. I am 14 years old and people haven't taken me seriously on other forums and blogs on other websites. I hope you find my theory helpful and please respond if you have any thing to add or comment on.
Any way, I have came up with a theory that may not make sense to some but if you watch LOST religiously like me it might. In season 1 as Michael and Jin build the raft to get off the island Hurley goes around and has the 815 survivors to write a message to their family. Hurley puts the notes into the bottle and gives it to Michael to give to the survivors if he makes it off the island on the raft. When "the others" blow up the raft in the season 1 finale the bottle falls into the ocean.
In season 2 the Sun finds the bottle washed up on shore. Later on in the season as Sun buries the bottle in the sand. This is the part that might get confusing. In season 3 there is a scene where Palo is burying the diamonds he stole from Mr. Zukerman(the director) in the sand when Locke stops him and tells him that the beach is eroding and whatever he buries will just become uncovered. My theory is that in season 5 the bottle will be found in the middle the ocean by some one because it was uncovered by erosion and is washed away when Ben moved the island. If someone finds the bottle and reads the messages it will prove that there are more survivors. It might be hard to wrap your head around all this but the facts are there and I believe that's how the rest of the Oceanic 815 survivors will be found.
